Neils Bohr was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1885. His contributions to our understanding of the physical world have made him one of Denmarks most famous citizens and one of the 20th centurys most influential scientists. In 1922, Bohr was awarded the Nobel Prize in physics for his services in the investigation of the structure of atoms and of the radiation emanating from them. A prolific scientific collaborator, Bohr mentored many of the great scientific minds of the 20th century.

Bottle from my cellar because Im trying to cut that shit out. 2011 vintage. Dark, thick black pour. Sweet nose, raisin, rum, plum. Thick, oily mouthfeel. Sweet, caramel, some toffee, dark brown sugar, fig and raisin. I like it, but its gonna be hard to finish on my own...

Bottle shared with MF666. Black with a small dark brown head. Nose has fudge, chocolate, dark malts, vanilla, caramel, booze. Flavour follows; vanilla, fudge, chocolate, caramel, grain, nuts. Full body, oily texture, heavy sweet with hight acidity, mild bitterness. Too acidic.

Tasted on 10/15/11 from a capped 750mL bottle at Smittys house, thanks to Nick for sharing. Pours oily thick black with an average dark brown head that slowly recedes to thin lace. The nose is hot with some vinous notes, cocoa powder, molasses, prune, raisin, nutty, dark chocolate, creamy. The flavor is sweet and hot, with dark chocolate, coffee, chocolate syrup, creamy, nutty, vinous. The body is full and creamy with light, smooth carbonation and a long tart vinous, nutty, dark chocolate finish.

Nice brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is rich and sweet, dark malts, dark chocolate, coffee, salty licorice, dark sugar, grass, butterscotch, spices, dried dark fruits. Taste is slightly sour-ish and rich, dark malts, sour coffee, dark sugar, salty licorice, grass, burnt caramel, dried dark fruits, spices. Medium bitterness, slightly sour-ish mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours an oily jet black body with a small dark beige head. Nose is deep chocolate and cocoa tones, licorice, dark malts, coffee, leather, syrup, brown sugar, hints of tobacco, cognac, port wine and vanilla. Taste is deep malty tones, huge licorice tones, tobacco, leather, raisins and hints of port wine, soy sauce, vanilla and faint herbs and spices in the back. Full, thick body, medium carbonation. Fantastic. This 2011 bottle has really aged well and is one of the best beers Ive had in a long time.

Bottle.Pours pitch black with a medium brown head that left nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, and raisins. Flavor was sweet and well blended with raisins, dark fruit, chocolate, roasted malts and licorice. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation.

2011 backlog. Pours midnight black with thin head. The nose is smoke, cocoa, coffee. The taste is smoked malts, ash, chocolate and coffee. Medium semi-creamy mouthfeel. Nice. 4.1
