DenverLogan (1212) - LA, California, USA - JUL 18, 2013
From big bottle into Corsendonk chalice. Pours black with brown head...some lace. Aroma of sweet chocolate, dark chocolate, rich roasted malts, espresso, chili, roasted hazelnuts. Modest carbonation and pungent mouthfeel. Flavors of sour malts, bitter chocolate, milk chocolate, Mexican chocolate, burnt malts. Overall very bold and flavorful with some unique bitterness and sour notes atop lots of chocolate, spices, and raisins.

Yorker (2003) - Herning, DENMARK - JUN 24, 2017
75 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a tiny tan head. Aroma and flavour are roasted malt, dark chocolate, dried fruit, alcohol, and liquorice - with a roasted finish.

SlackerMads (3360) - DENMARK - FEB 18, 2016
Bottle. Black with a medium sized diminishing light brown head. Roasted malt, gravy, salt, berries, cocoa, wood, mold, old coffee grounds. Medium/full body, oily texture, filling sweetness, high acidity, fine bitterness. I don’t know what the high acidity is about, but it makes it really difficult to drink. It was the same in Bohr, so I guess it is either intentional or the same thing going wrong, perhaps because of age. Either way, this is not good. Finishes sticky, salty and acidic. Ridiculous waste of money sums it up.

Ancient rating from Hunahpu’s Day 2012, I recently found my tasting notes. Figured why waste good ticks…Cinnamon, dark fruits, chocolate malts, nice warming aspect.

From a shared 75cl bottle at RBNG-14. Pours very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of dark malts, dark fruits berries and lots of chocolate. Quite sweet but still balanced. Not as good as Bohr, but certainly a pleasant one! (2014-02-15 - Grand Tasting, Fredriksten festning, Halden)
