COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pours amber in color with notes of caramel and slight hints of red delicious apple in the aroma. Flavor has a moderate earthy and herbal hop bitterness followed by moderate caramel notes that are subdued by floral hop bitterness in the finish. A damn good and authentic ESB.

i must be drinking the wrong kind of ESBs because this one tasted off balanced and funky to me. aroma was ok, bready and mildly hoppy. but the flavor was a too hop forward, the grains and cereal notes tasted musty and overtly earthy, palate was sour, not in a good way either. bad keg maybe? probably not something i would try again.

Nitro pour at Poes Jacksonville. Pours dark Amber with dense head. Light aroma of malts - hidden due to the dense nitro head. Light orange, lemon, some dark fruit, sponge cake, metal, a bit of coke... Pretty dull all in all. Drinkable enough. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bärnstensfärgad öl med lätt vitt skum. Doft med hö och viss citrus. Bra balans i smaken mellan maltsötma och beska. Skiljer sig en del från de engelska ESB jag druckit.

redlight (2318) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAY 21, 2011
draft @ redlight redlight. Spicy hops on the nose with bready malts as well. Pours a light amber/dark orange color with a white head. Nicely balanced, bread-like malts with just a hint of caramel with spicy earthy hops. Finishes pretty dry with just slight hint of sweetness. Nice session.

On tap @ Cigar City Brewpub. Pour is hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma and flavor are both on the sweeter side - straw, caramel, grain, faint hops, light fruit. Finish is slightly bitter.

The kind of beer I would drink if beer didn’t have calories; good for everyday consumption, mildly earthy hop presence on top of a convincing sweet malt body that isn’t anywhere near cloying. Toasted nuts and maybe whole grain bread with some spices mixed in. Good effort.

Aroma of hazelnut and malt. Great looking amber color with a lasting white well laced head. Taste of hazelnut and malt. Creamy feel with a malty aftertaste.

On tap. Pours amber with a beige head and malty aroma. Taste is well balanced and sweet, of malt, caramel, hops, and grains with a nice, smooth finish. Drinkable, good brew from CCB.
