32 oz growler from GoT. Deep mahogany brown with a small light tan head. Rich aroma of coffee, roasted hazelnuts, chocolate and biscuit dough. Flavor is some sweet toasty malt with a medium coffee acidity and very low bitterness. Medium body with mild carbonation and a smooth feel. I’m pretty amazed, this beer packs so much flavor into a 5.5% avb beer and isn’t too sweet. Thanks to GoT for this treat. drseusszb200 (687) - Florida, USA - MAR 8, 2010

Appearance: Dispenses a dark brown body with a modestly-sized, dark beige head.
Smell: Roasty, toasty dark malts with notes of cocoa powder, fresh-from-the-oven nuts, dark caramel. Thin hints of espresso and blended pipe tobacco.
Taste: All of the dark brown maltiness you’d expect, particularly if you’ve had any of their other brown ales. Sweetish tastes of cocoa-coated, oven-roasted nuts and caramel paired with a subtler hint of espresso beans. Small touch of dark fruitiness. Slight tobacco accents. A bit more of the coffee character comes through on the finish, as the tastes and body slacken to allow it to come across a bit more clearly.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Well-balanced and fairly tasty. Cigar City is really bucking the old adage "if you’ve had one brown ale you’ve had’m all!" unclemattie (4358) - Georgia, USA - JAN 16, 2010

Big coffee aroma. No. Huge coffee aroma. A touch on the ashy side. Clear reddish brown. Lingering bitterness in the finish from the coffee. A little too thin. Basically iced coffee with beer in it. Not bad, though. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - DEC 3, 2009
Quart growler from CCBC. Brown color with a frothy tan head. Sharp mocha, tobacco smoke aromas. Frothy mouthfeel. Good coffee, spicy chocolate flavors on a nutty brown malt base. A bit thin in the finish. Nice coffee brew. jcwattsrugger (12507) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - NOV 25, 2009

Draft sample at Cigar City. Poured a clear brown color with an average creamy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt and dark coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth slick texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted cuban coffee sweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Standout complex brew.
