From old tasting notes. On draft at Fruit in the Room. Pours a hazy golden color and topped by a thick layer of off white foam at the head. The aroma shows notes of sour fruit and guava, apple juice, vinegar, and whiskey soaked oak. Very tart and acetic with hints of sweetness to balance things out. The flavor follows with the tart guava and acetic vinegar with sweet apples, spices, and soft vanilla laden oak to help balance things out. You get a nice mix between the Guava Grove and Florida Cracker. Seems like a kitchen sink type beer, but it came together nicely. Very interesting beer and glad I got to try it. jcartamdg (3470) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 27, 2012

Fruit In The Room 2011. Cloudy orange-ish and a small white head. Nose is apples, oak, acetic and a little vinegary. Flavor is sour apples, spice and some sweet malts. I liked it and thought it was very interesting. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - SEP 18, 2011
On draft at Fruit in the Room 2011. If Cigar City has an enigmatic beer, this is one of them. The last beer I had that reminded me of something like this was Grandma’s Funky Sour Berry. This is one of those beers that CCB manages to do so well. A blend of sweet and sour. This one pours a murky brown-yellow with a white-ish head. Nose is sour at first- vinegar and vinous fruit followed by tart red grapes, then there is some cinnamon and vanilla eeking in there as well. Flavor is a similar blend of sweet and sour. Medium in body and enigmatic from start to finish. hopscotch (11161) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 12, 2011
Draft… CCB Fruit in the Room 2011… Murky golden ale. Oaken, acidic, acetic nose with hints of toffee, buttery rich praline, a whisper of malt vinegar and a thimble-full of dry red wine. Full-bodied and creamy with tickling carbonation. The flavor furnishes notes of sour cherries, mild gooey caramel and lightly spicy hops accompanied by a small splash of red wine vinegar. Finishes tangy and mildly buttery.

On tap for Fruit in the Room, poured a cloudy amber with aromas of fruit, sourness, and vinegary apples. Tasted extremely tart, with sour citrus, and hint of oak and spice. Ibrew2or3 (8660) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUN 24, 2011
Poured up on tap at Cigar City with hazy copper body and white head. The aroma is fruitiness mixing with vinegar and body odor like tartness, faint moldy fruit sourness, tiny oasis of sweeter fruit (apple) and oak that comes across rather soft as compared to the harsher tart notes. The taste is similar with sort of a SeaBass-y tarty sourness that goes from unripe fruit lightly coated with nail polish remover, vinegar, thin veins of runny rotting citrus and then rolling toward modest fruity sweetness, sugar dissolved in vinegar and a sense of wood. Hmmm.
