Draft at the brewery. Pours a very dark mahogany color with a translucent edge. A dark khaki colored head is small and smooth, and it leaves behind a good amount of splotchy lacing. The nose is dry and darkly roasted, showing bitter chocolate dark barley notes primarily. Clean, dark coffee roast notes compliment well, completing the simple but well executed aroma. Flavors again feature roasted barley and dry dark cocoa, with more toasted coffee notes and a finish of bitter, earthen hops. The palate is just about bone dry, medium bodied, and a bit over carbonated. It seems prickly or scratchy almost on the tongue. Overall, it’s a decent little session stout, but there’s nothing ground breaking going on. hopscotch (11078) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 22, 2010
Growler… RBWG ‘10… Pours pitch black with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Decent retention. The nutty, chocolaty bouquet also hints at espresso. Light to medium-bodied and astringent with soft carbonation. The flavor offers nuts, coffee and dark chocolate. Mocha, raspy, burnt, bitter finish. smith4498 (3646) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - MAR 21, 2010

growler at RLRL, pours black with a medium tan head. Earthy black patent aroma. Roasty, big, black, and very dry in the finish. This is THE dry stout! DalzAle (2037) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - MAR 19, 2010
Growler. Dark brown pour, nice medium carbonation and an aroma of peat. Flavor is initially a little chocolate, roasty malts, oaky and finished a very dry and a little smoky. Pretty solid beer, would definitely search this out if remotely interested.

Growler from brewery. Blackish pour with a creamy white head. Huge roasty aroma, chocolate. Smooth creamy roasted grain and chocolate malt taste. ery balanced and flavorful. Wonderful brew. Telios (10) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 18, 2010
draft @ RedLight. I ordered a pint for St. Paddy’s day...what a treat! This beer has a roasty dark chocolate aroma and a brown-black appearance with small off-white head. Despite the heavy appearance, the body is rather light, delivering a creamy, dry, roasted-malt taste with hints of dark chocolate and to a lesser extent coffee and nuts. Finishes clean and refreshing for such a dark beer... no cloying malt sweetness here. Very drinkable...if I didn’t have to work early the next day I would love to tip back 2 or 3 more pints. changeup45 (1731) - Lake Mary, Florida, USA - MAR 17, 2010
Growler from Cigar City. Pretty solid and an excellent choice for St. Patty’s Day. Pours very dark brown, looks black in the glass with some amber sneaking through. The aroma shows oats, coffee, chocolate and some vanilla. The flavor is all of the same, nothing more, nothing less, no surprises. A light roasty and slightly creamy palate. Comes across as a bit light but also probably the lowest abv beer so far I’ve had from CCB and still quite good. Teege (375) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 17, 2010

Good nose. very nutty, with notes of coffee and irish cream. flavor is pretty sweet with the irish cream coming forward. solid bitterness from the roasted malts comes through in the finish. good creamy mouthfeel. sweet for a dry stout but a very enjoyable beer. redlight (2318) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 17, 2010
