on tap-pours a hazy yellow color and a white ring for a head. Aroma is spice-corriander, light malt, yeast, licorice. Taste is dry, spice-corriander, orange/lemon rind, light malt, yeast. hopscotch (11182) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 4, 2011
Draft… Hazy straw-colored ale with a small, fizzy, white head. A small ring floats atop the brew and clings stubbornly to the side of the glass until I’ve taken my last sip. The aromatics are herbal and floral – licorice, anise oil and sassafras root. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. The flavor is spicy and mildly sweet with gently bitterness and very light acidity. Finishes crisp, floral and a tad spicy. gnoff (10859) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 22, 2011

Hazy golden color, white head. Sweet at first, then turns spicy and fruity mango with some bubble gum, some banana esters. Bitter and banana aftertaste. Moussy mouthfeel, dry bitterness that gets mixed with the spices. Banana ester and bubble gum scent.
Don’t let it heat up though.

1/15/11. On tap at the brewery in a snifter. Very cloudy yellow pour with a skim of off-white head that’s gone fast. The aroma is all banana with a dose of spice and a hint of licorice. Creamy banana flavors laced with spice and licorice and a subtle hint of some sort of astringency. Not bad!

Poured up on tap at Cigar City with opaque yet pure gold body and modest size bright white head. The aroma is full up sweet estery banana and cloves (like a 55 gallon drum of ripe bananas) followed by a mix of apples, apricot and pear as well as an unmistakable yeastiness. The taste has milder banana notes than the nose and mixing with clove spice running into various cooking spice notes that I can’t put my finger on. Between the various spices and banana are both an interesting funky moldy fruitiness and a bit of black pepper. Notes of funk and pear like fruitiness grow into the finish with mild yet growing tartness that dries this thing out a bit. 50belair (3680) - Florida, USA - JAN 31, 2011
On tap at the Jupiter Beer Fest. Hazy straw color pour. The nose is straight bubble gum. The taste is dry with banana, light fruit, and spices. Very cool... Beerlando (3342) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAY 3, 2011
Growler, courtesy CheeseMan I believe. Pours a lightly hazy, pale golden-straw color. A small, frothy, off-white head settles to a thin, bubbly edge. Rounded, splotchy spots of lacing dot the glass. The aroma is based in a combo of lightly sweet and slightly drier cereal grains. From there, peppery notes of Chinese 5 spice, lemon rind, and citrus chiffon emerge, adding conflicting bitter and sharp scents. Flavors seem to mostly clash as well, semi-dry cereal grains colliding with the peppery, sharp anise and woody clove in the 5 spice. The palate sports a medium body with soft yet active carbonation and a relatively dry finish. I don’t find fault with the mouthfeel, but the lingering spice finish is a bit excessive. Overall, this just is not my cup of tea. Too messy. dchmela (3078) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 11, 2011
Tap at the brewery. Hazy yellowish pour with a thin white head. Tart fruity aroma. Really nice saison yeast esters in the taste, some spiciness and fruit. Very tasty version of a saison. glennmastrange (2899) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - FEB 1, 2011
Tap. Light to moderate grain for the malt, moderate lemon and perfume for the hops, faint must for the yeast with hints of banana, and pear. Head is small, fizzy, white with some slippery lacing and is almost fully diminishing. Color is hazy golden yellow. Flavor starts faintly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately to heavily bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a fizzy carbonation. Pretty refreshing and very dry at the end, just a little light overall.
