On tap at the Jupiter Beer Fest. Hazy straw color pour. The nose is straight bubble gum. The taste is dry with banana, light fruit, and spices. Very cool... Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JAN 23, 2011
Poured up on tap at Cigar City with opaque yet pure gold body and modest size bright white head. The aroma is full up sweet estery banana and cloves (like a 55 gallon drum of ripe bananas) followed by a mix of apples, apricot and pear as well as an unmistakable yeastiness. The taste has milder banana notes than the nose and mixing with clove spice running into various cooking spice notes that I can’t put my finger on. Between the various spices and banana are both an interesting funky moldy fruitiness and a bit of black pepper. Notes of funk and pear like fruitiness grow into the finish with mild yet growing tartness that dries this thing out a bit. jcwattsrugger (12418) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - FEB 5, 2011
on tap-pours a hazy yellow color and a white ring for a head. Aroma is spice-corriander, light malt, yeast, licorice. Taste is dry, spice-corriander, orange/lemon rind, light malt, yeast. dchmela (3062) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 11, 2011
Tap at the brewery. Hazy yellowish pour with a thin white head. Tart fruity aroma. Really nice saison yeast esters in the taste, some spiciness and fruit. Very tasty version of a saison. sebletitje (10048) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JAN 17, 2011
Pression @ CCB.

1/15/11. On tap at the brewery in a snifter. Very cloudy yellow pour with a skim of off-white head that’s gone fast. The aroma is all banana with a dose of spice and a hint of licorice. Creamy banana flavors laced with spice and licorice and a subtle hint of some sort of astringency. Not bad! steelcitybrew (454) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JAN 30, 2011
pours a light golden yellow. aroma is tart bananas and earthyness. taste is banana, ginger and vinnager. palate is pretty good for this style. medium mouthfeel with a bit of clamyness. overall a pretty decent brew. juiceisloose (1477) - Windermere, Florida, USA - MAR 5, 2011
Draft at the CCB tasting room. This one pours a hazy straw yellow color and topped by a small head of off white foam that settles quickly to a thin film. Small spots of lace slide down the glass and rejoin the body below. The aroma shows a good amount of banana, clove spices, and fruity esters to go with the yeast profile. The flavor follows with mild banana, clove, 5 spice, some tart fruits, and bready yeast. Luckily I don’t get much in the way of seaweed, but the chinese 5 spice adds some nice spiciness to the flavors. Medium bodied with balanced carbonation that leads to a slightly dry, bitter sweet finish. From the ingredients I definitely wasn’t expecting all the banana notes. This is still an interesting take on the style and enjoyable on a hot Florida day. Good brew. dimenhetfield (2486) - , Florida, USA - MAR 16, 2011
Growler shared by Dstructo at Hunaphu’s release. Here’s what I recall. Spicy aroma with a slight fruit tartness. Light golden color and very easy to drink. Not the best description but it’s what I remember. hopscotch (11048) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 4, 2011
Draft… Hazy straw-colored ale with a small, fizzy, white head. A small ring floats atop the brew and clings stubbornly to the side of the glass until I’ve taken my last sip. The aromatics are herbal and floral – licorice, anise oil and sassafras root. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. The flavor is spicy and mildly sweet with gently bitterness and very light acidity. Finishes crisp, floral and a tad spicy.
