CC growler. Pours a dark red color with some brownness, a medium white head. The aroma is sweet herbs and fruity malts. The flavor is a very smooth and quaffable Scottish Ale; sweet dusty malts, berries, lemons, very nice. An easy going brew. JAF737300 (1291) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 17, 2011
Pours deep amber with nice dried fruit notes. The palate shows strong malt nuances with the effort bringing out the abv and the caremlized fruits. Sammy (12484) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 15, 2011
Nice hoppy Scottish. Good peaty aromas. Body is brownish to amber coloured with little head and a lace sheet. Smooth mouthfeel. Good hops that kicked up the taste and drinkability.
On tap at the brewery. Ibrew2or3 (8748) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAY 9, 2011
Poured up on tap at the CCB tasting room with clear amber body and copper hues as well as a thin white head. The aroma offers up dark fruity esters, some earthiness and roasted malts. The taste is a bit bright with hints of yeasty spice and dark fruity esters rolling into roasted malts, chocolate malts and a nice sense of earthiness. This comes together very well and with a refreshing quality too. JaBier (8126) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - MAY 5, 2011

On draft at Cigar City. Pours a hazy orange-brown with a white head. Nose is some grain, a bit of sweetness, some dry tobacco, and a hint of fruit, and some yeast. Flavor is similar with a light body and a dry finish. Tsotsi (178) - Florida, USA - MAY 1, 2011
Reddish amber pour. Nose is sweet, nutty and malty. Flavor is earthy, nutty, touch of sweetness, real light bodied. Not much going on. Shaftie (218) - , Maryland, USA - MAY 1, 2011
You could have slapped a Brewdog label on this and I wouldn’t have questioned it. Not a fan of this, wispy, better left outside of my mouth. dchmela (3078) - Orlando, Florida, USA - APR 29, 2011
Tap at Cigar City. Pours a reddish brown with a thin off white head. Musty hops, malt and toffee peaking through in the nose. Taste is malty, slightly bready and nutty. Not as complex as some other brews, a decent session beer. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - APR 26, 2011
Tap @ CCB: Dark amber, malty with some light caramel. Decent scottish ale, thin body and a vague mouthfeel. Even the nose is a bit lacking in malts.
