Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber orange with a near white head that dissipates nearly completely with a slight lace. Aroma has notes of citrus, bitter pineapple with a hint of sweet lychee. Flavor starts with more sweet lychee but finishes with bitter pineapple and citrus. markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 14, 2011
On draft at CCB. Pours a clear orange with a white head. Nose is sweet fruit, tropical fruit, citrus, spice, and grapefruit hops. Flavor is similar with lots of tropical fruit flavors combined with the standard Jai Alai sweetness. Very enjoyable and drinkable on a hot day like Hunahpu Day. Poured up on tap at CCB with clear copper body and white head. The aroma seems like spicy tropical fruit, mango and malt sweetened citrus hops. The taste offers up rich tropical notes with sort of a spicy tropical fruitiness that I can’t put my finger on, mango, pineapple, malt sweetened grapefruit and an interesting yet faint level of floweriness that seems to be nuanced by citrus-tropical fruit-sweetened perfume notes. shp555 (2024) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 11, 2011

pours a burnt orange with a nice white head. lots of lacing. nose is orange and sweet tropical fruits. taste is more pine than pineapple but its got a bit of both. on the sweeter side of the ipa spectrem. palate not as good as cigar city ipas are used to. didn’t go down as smooth as a good ipa should. overall still a really decent pilot beer.
