Hazy blonde. Farmhousey character. Dry, leafy, lightly fruity aroma. Dry, herbal, lightly fruity. Dry finish. Slightly bitter, with grapeskins. Neat.

Draft… Hazy pear-colored ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Long lasting retention. The aroma is earthy, fruity and spicy. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with lazy carbonation. Spicy, yeasty, pale grain flavor. Nice balance. A quick shot of tartness (from the swamp grapes, I assume) kind of hits and quickly disappears. The finish is tangy, but not at all dry.

Entering old rates.

Pours hazy gold with straw highlights and white head. The aroma is hay, wet hay, yeastiness, grapes, apricots and dewy meadow. Yum. The taste is much the same with some malts moving to hay along with fruitiness from grapes, pears and then fruity tartness. In the background I get mild yet chewy discarded athletic socks. It ends pretty dry and very refreshing. I would sure like to get another try at this.

Old rating- thanks retorp for the share. Pours hazy yellow with a slightly off-white head. Aroma is sweet fruit- crisp grapes, pears, and apples. Flavor is apple, yeast, sweet grapes, and a flowery grapey sweetness that sticks around. Nice saison mix, and the brett is not missed. Another winner.

Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 15, 2009
Clever name! Clear golden orange with thick, delicious-looking head. The aroma is spectacular. Lively, juicy, and fruity with some orange juice, grape skins, custard apple, lychee, and other tropical fruits. Clean, dry finish with a juicy body. Fun, frothy mouthfeel and perfect level of carbonation. The juicy flavors aresweet and dry, like starfruit. Nice drinkable "fake Brett" saison, as Joey put it. Vineous character. Super nice.

12oz bottle from tpd975, thanks dude, last of my bottles from you, I’m looking forward to more. Pours orange with a bright white ring. Nose is sweet, yeasty, and lightly fruity. Taste is sweet and light and herbal. All in all a good saison, not amazing but good.

pantanap (3367) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 6, 2009
draft at CCB. thanks joey for the tour and tastes.... pours a hazy golden brown with a fluffy/creamy slightly off-white head.... pears, grapes, and dried fruit compliment the nose with a small degree of musty yeastiness... sweet pear, tropical fruit are found in the flavor with a creamy yet light mouthfeel. very drinkable. this has aged for a few months so i am not sure how it compares to a fresh version but this was pretty tasty.

Beerlando (3343) - Orlando, Florida, USA - DEC 29, 2008
Draft at the brewery, courtesy Joey and Wayne. Pours a lightly hazy golden straw color with a dense, foamy white head that lasts. Some nice, thick, ribbony lacing coats the glass well. Aromas are crisp, fruity, and semi-dry, notes of white grapes and natural, musty yeast leading the charge. Lightly peppery from the floral hops, the nose shows great balance. Flavors are a bit more wild than expected, in a good way. Tannic white grape notes meet a dry, funky yeasty component that permeates the entire brew. It almost tastes like it was done with brett, but knowing otherwise, I have to assume some naturally wild yeast must have been introduced by those scuppernongs. Perfectly spicy hops finish things off, working well with both the yeasty dryness and the lively carbonation. Medium bodied and semi-dry on the palate, this makes for a great summertime session saison. Another winner from Cigar City!
