Bottle shared by Shane, thanks! Poured a murky dark brown with a large creamy brown head that lasted throughout the beer and laced. Aroma had note of sour fruits with some funk and dark grains backing throughout. Flavor had dark grains in the start with growing sourness and a hint of funk in the back.

Bottle at the Where the Wild Beers Are event graciously hosted by Mission Dolores. Pours a hazed brown with a thin beige head. Burnt and roasty at the beginning, with some funk behind it. Tastes burnt and very bad. Like burning vinyl and rubber. Very unpleasant and gag inducing. Definitely something wrong here. I actually wrote in my notes I dont feel happy any more. This didnt even get to be drain poured as I walked it with me to the bathroom and toilet poured it. Im really hoping that theres something wrong with the bottles that made it to NY because I have loved just about everything else Ive had from Joey and Wayne, and was quite shocked at how much I didnt like this since I really, really wanted it to be good.

Tampa Weekly Gathering @BT Brandon-on tappours a foamy tan head that laces and dark copper color. Aroma is funky, vinuous/tart/sour fruit, yeasty. Taste is funky, vinuous/tart/sour fruit, yeasty, medium malt-burnt toffee. Good effervescence. Would like to keep Sea Bass on a shelf for 612 months.

The aroma is sour and slightly malty with a hint of fruit. The appearance is light brown with a large head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall this is probably one of my favorite sour ales but I dont like sour ales so this one does nothing to change my view.

Thanks to al_b for this bottle. Aroma:Very similar to a sour beer like Supplication. Appearance:Black and opaque. Very nice, off-white head. Great lacing, great retention. Taste:Extremely tart right at the beginning, fading off in the aftertaste. Lemon, apple, persimmon flavors on the foretaste. Palate:Light to medium body, good carbonation, some harsh astringency. Overall:I was not expecting this beer to be nearly as sour as it is. This beer would do Jolly Pumpkin proud. It was quite a surprise, and very enjoyable.

Bottle. Fruity aroma of sour cherries and a touch of malt. Medium bodied with good carbonation. A little bit too sour for my taste.
