Draft at the Gnarly Barley. Pours clear copper brown with a fizzy off white head. Tastes like rich chocolate, roasted chocolate malt, pumpkin, molasses, and light spice. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like rich chocolate, molasses, pumpkin, and cookie malt.

Last year marked my conversion experience when I realized I actually like some pumpkin beers. Cigar Cty’s Seasonal Creep is helping me to continue that conversion. Seasonal Creep pours black and heady. Aromas of roasted malt and pumpkin. Flavors of pumpkin, chocolate, and spices. Smooth and almost creamy feel. This is definitely an odd brew, but pretty damn tasty.

(Thanks, Shawn! "MacBoost") Bottle. A- Gourds, pumpkin, spices, vegetables. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Pumpkin, gourd, vegetable, spices, subtle cocoa. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation. spiced finish. O- This may be the first Cigar City beer I really didn’t care for. Not a huge amount of pumpkin or chocolate. In fact, it was just odd.

Magnifiquement balancée et jamais ’’too much’’.

Bottle... Pours clear and copper with a wispy, white head. Good retention. The aroma features a mélange of vanilla, toffee, chocolate crème and autumn spices. Full-bodied and silken with adequate carbonation. The flavor is toasty, tangy, spicy and rich, boasting vanilla and toffee. Roasty, lightly bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear red brown color with a small white head. A huge spicy pumpkin nose. The flavor is sweet vanilla, spices, tropical fruit.

Dark brown pour, light brown head. Wow, overly spiced. Not much of the underlying beer is noticeable due to the spices. A tad sweet too.

Black pour. Small tan head. No lacing. Weird aroma of dill pickle. Taste is chocolate and spice.

22 oz bottle. Pours a deep reddish brown color and topped by a small layer of beige colored foam that settles in nicely to a thin film and leaving a sudsy wash that rejoins the body below. The aroma shows notes of sweet milk chocolate, pumpkin, cinnamon spice, vanilla, and pumpkin pie spice. Toasted caramel malt makes up the malt base. The flavor follows with the chocolate and toasted caramel up front followed by notes of pumpkin, pie spices, and vanilla to round things out. As it warms up the chocolate and pumpkin come out more and really come together nicely. Medium bodied with balanced carbonation that leads to a semi sweet finish. It’s a touch thin on the body and I was hoping for more of a porter base. Really interesting combination of flavors and the more I drink it the more I’m digging it. Good stuff and definitely a enjoyable beer for Thanksgiving.
