Draught @ Brewvival. Clear golden pour. Aroma was big floral hops, citrus for days. Wasn’t too familiar with this hop beforehand. Lots of fruity flavors, citrus. Dry finish that didn’t last. Somewhat forgettable but decent. Love the idea of a SMaSH. Butters (4063) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - FEB 26, 2012
Sampled at Brewvival 2012. Clear blonde pour with big white head. Citrus hop nose had a frootloops character to it. Flavor was more citrus, sweet, and resinous hops. Almost syrupy. Good lingering bitterness. Drake (14059) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 25, 2012
Draft at Brewvival 2012. Pours a hazy pale golden color with a thin frothy offwhite head. Decent head retention. Aroma of earthy and tropical hops and pale malts. The taste is sweet malts, earthy and tropical hops. Medium bodied. Nice. tkrjukoff (4335) - SWEDEN - FEB 23, 2012
CCB Tap Room. Pours clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is piny grapefruit cat bin malty and fruity. Flavor much similar to aroma, very fruity and has a pleasant sweetness. Finishes with a good bitter fruity aftertaste. jkaiser (279) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 23, 2012
I had this at the brewery, I took the tour, I met Wayne. It was an awesome experience.
The beer is smooth, refreshing, well balanced, nice lacing.

Draft… Clear yellow ale with a mid-sized, pillowy, white head. Fantastic retention. The bouquet is all about pale malts and citrusy, tropical fruit-like hops with a dash of white pepper. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Flavor-wise, the Galaxy hops are definitely the star of the show, but there’s a nice stage constructed of biscuity, bready malts upon which the citrusy, tropical hops perform. Finishes crisp and dry with a modest, lingering bitterness that even this malt-head can appreciate. OmegaX (1375) - Florida, USA - FEB 18, 2012
Tap at CCB. Nose is grassy hops full of grapefruit and bright citrus. Some light caramel malt and grain. Well water qualities as well. Body is clear yellow with a white head. This one is very hop forward with heavy grapefruit and grass. Some light caramel and grain from the malts that are almost drowned out by the assertive galaxy hops. A dry and bitter finish. Very drinkable and crisp. This SMaSH series is awesome! tricyclist (1125) - Florida, USA - FEB 17, 2012
Pours a crisp, clear gold into a pint at the brewery. Aroma is grassy and hoppy, crisp. Flavor is solid hop, not overly bitter, but floral and grapefruit notes are definitely there. There’s a good bitterness there though. Body is relatively thing, but not water for an American pale. Overall, it’s a solid beer, but I can’t say it’s my favorite APA or favorite from Cogar City.

On draft at Cigar City. Pours a clear yellow-gold with a white head. Nose is sharp citrus, orange, grass, and pine. Flavor is similar- light malt, assertive hops up front that fade into mild bitterness in the finish. Light to medium in body and a feat of awesomeness at 5.5%. This is the best of the SMaSH series so far, with Kohatu as a close second. Please keep making these beers! burg326 (5594) - Florida, USA - FEB 17, 2012
On draft at CCB, poured a nice dark yellow color, aromas of grapefruit, orange zest, caramel, and a smidge of lemon. Flavor is pretty much the same with huge hop and grapefruit flavors.
