COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This International Strong Dark Ale was brewed with our friends from Belgium’s De Struise Brouwers and aged in bourbon barrels. De Struise’s deft hand in recipe creation has combined with Cigar City’s adroit barrel aging skills to create this monumental collaboration that is superlatively, unquestionably, and indisputably “Absolutely OK”.

Aromat: beczka, burbon, nuty utlenienia, takie trochę estrowe, lekka emulsja, ale nie jest to nieprzyjemne. Smak: estrowy, słodki, przyjemne utlenienie. Brak piany, niemal bez wysycenia. Takie ejle belgijskie to ja mogę pić!:)

heman (1204) - Tychy, POLAND - NOV 6, 2017
Intensywny aromat suszonych owoców: śliwki, rodzynki, trochę melasy. Wraz z ogrzewaniem wychodzi ordynarny, wódczany alkohol. W smaku pełne, słodkie, syropowe, kompot z suszu, z zauważalną goryczką tytoniowo-ziołową w posmaku. Za jej sprawą przypomina trochę ziołowe syropy na gardło.

Dogbrick (13789) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 31, 2017
Sample at Beer Meets Wood on 09/23/2017. Dark brown color with a medium light brown head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lace. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, oak and chocolate malt. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, charred malt, chocolate and dark fruit. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Good beer overall.

On tap at Brewskival 2017. Pours black. Moderate beige head. Caramel, bourbon, toffee in the aroma. Lots of caramel, toffee at first. Bourbony notes balance the caramel really well in the middle. Bourbon in the end. Rather heavy bodied, maybe bit sweet brew for my taste, but balance between bourbon and the other tastes here is really surprising and good.

Bottle, via Homer321 (thanks Sean!), shared with Parksy and others. Very dark brown with a lively light brown head. Rich and full bodied, a lovely marriage of dark chocolate, spices, and barrel character. Balanced and warming and delicious.

Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza 2017 - London. Pours amber-brown with a foamy, off-white head. Great big beast, with lots of dried fruits, brown bread, toffee, vanilla, fruitcake. Really sweet. Full bodied and oily, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with notes of dates, more fruitcake, brown bread, plenty more toffee. Lots of fun in moderate dosage.

Scopey (15747) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2017
Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza. It pours deep red – brown with a small beige head. The aroma is soft, sweet, sugary dried fruits, oak, vanilla, toffee, black tea and cookie dough. The taste is soft, sweet, oily, sugary, warming boozy vibes, earth, wood, bourbon, tannin, black tea, leather, spice and some warming alcohol through the finish. Full body and fine carbonation. A rich and toothy sipping ale. Good fun.
