Cask at Woodshop 8. Motueka/Cascade dry hop. Pours a full haze, murky mango juice with wispy, white foam. Nose is pure mango juice, fresh/pulpy. Taste is Humidor Series style with big cedar wood. Lots of dry wood piling on leaves the mouthfeel feeling soapy, overly dry. Heavy hop content without much sugar leaves the bitterness overpowering, biting. Tap at CCB. Smell hops, pine, and wood. Pour golden brown with a white head. Taste cigar, wood, smoke, line hops, and alittle grapefruit. This is a take on humidor & white oak IPA. Great job! DialSquare (5029) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 4, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 24, 2013 Growler shared up at Proof by scotchzi (dude - thanks again). Just tried two other CC’s that were new to me and crazy good, but this is the belle of the ball.
Sparse notes tho: aroma of vanilla oak, wood. big vanilla taste. wonderful balance. my favorite jai alai treatment so far: 9.0. Will try to find more if it’s out there. jbruner (4734) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - AUG 3, 2012
Part of IPA day celebration at CCB. Holy crap this was awesome. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow on tap with medium white head and light lacing on the way down. Smell is both sweet and spicy from the two different woods mingling, a nice citrus backbone, and of course plenty of hop aroma. Taste is amazing, a zesty pineapple, vanilla, oak, and hop blast, but all very well balanced. Clean on the mouth and a nice lasting bitter finish. One of the best IPAs I have ever had. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - JUL 24, 2011
On firkin at CCB. Pours a murky as hell yellow-orange with a small white head. Nose is cedar, white and red grapefruit, vanilla, wood, and some orange peel. Flavor is similar with the cedar trying to be the star of the show with the white oak trying to assert its flavors. The white oak comes through in the background and the cedar in the front. Finish is lingering cedar. Interesting beer.

Pours a hazy orange with a bubbly head. Aroma is oak, spice, orange. Taste is a nice mix of humidor and oak. Spice is there also. Soupy medium mouthfeel. Overall a pretty solid beer burg326 (5482) - Florida, USA - JUL 23, 2011
Poured a cloudy orange from the frimin. Aromas of oak, light hops, and citrus. Tastes like the oak aged ipa with some cedar thrown in. Wood flavors are not overpowing and pleasent on the palate.
