Draft at The Ice House Pub. Poured clear and golden with a fluffy head that faded to give a nice ring down the edge of the glass. Smelled bananas, clove, and orange peel. Tasted very light of all the flavors with a nice clean aftertaste. Great Saison. cbfobes (2887) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - MAY 20, 2011
Fresh 32 oz growler thanks to drowland! Pours a fairly clear yellow with a thick white head and lacing, aroma was yeasty with nice touches of spices, the flavor has a great spice kick with a dry finish, some funk in the finish, yum. Sammy (12846) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 15, 2011
Great saison on a hot day. Rated 5% abv. Wild yeast aromas are yummy. Cloudy yellow with tons of lace, only a little head. Carbonation right there. Great drinkability, refreshes in the early summer weather.

As hoped, a substantial deviation from the disaster that was the growler. Slightly grainy, crisp and clean saison that is refreshing. Easy to drink, although the flavors are...let’s say "restrained". Kind of remarkable how different this is from the other CCB attempts at making saisons. Nevertheless, a good and fine saison that doesn’t try to do too much.
Growler from Pat, thanks buddy! The aroma is a sweet and light funky farmhouse smell with no spices at all. The beer pours thick golden with a light orange hue and creamy white head. The flavor is light, sweet, and grainy, like fresh wheat, on a medium, solidy body. I like this, pure saison flavor, with a lack of super funk or spice for sure. Kind of like a studio drummer. smith4498 (3676) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - MAY 11, 2011
Growler from the brewery. Pours cloudy dark golden color with off white head. Aromas of wheat, dough, bananas and some spices. Doughy flavor with some spices, bananas and wheat. Slightly tart. Light to medium body with average carbonation. hopscotch (11322) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 6, 2011
Cask… Murky yellow ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. The bouquet is bready, doughy, a smidge phenolic and just a tad herbal/rooty – lightly toasted white bread, a whisper of clove and a rumor of sassafras. Medium-bodied with a mildly creamy mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. The flavor is acidic up front and a touch spicy on the backside. Finishes faintly tart, delicately bitter, and then fairly dry. Nice session brew. JaBier (8307) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - MAY 5, 2011
On tap at CCB on 4/28/11. Clear gold pour with a medium white head. Malty nose with some banana and funk. Malty and peppery flavor with banana and a mildly funky finish.
