Growler from CCB. Snifter pour. A lot of fruity esters on the nose: Lemon, guava, apricot, and peach. Also, notes of grain and yeast. Almost earthy and straw-like. Interesting and fresh. Like taking a walk through a farm. Poured a pleasant light orange/yellow color with no haze and a thin head with big bubbles and tight lacing. Taste was fruity with lemons and acidic qualities coming through. A slight sour is balanced out by flavors of honey and grainy malts. Again, quite fresh but left a dryer finish with a little bit of a bitter at the end. All around great stuff. Dogbrick (13012) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 30, 2011
Sample at the tap room. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow-gold color with a thin white head that evaporates to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of herbs, fruit and yeast. Light body with flavors of grassy hops, fruit and yeast. The finish is fruity with notes of yeast and spice left behind. Above average overall. jredmond (8285) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 19, 2011
UPDATED: JUN 26, 2011 Draft at Capone’s with Pat and Dallas. Pours a clear yellow with slight haze and white frothy lacing. Aroma is yeasty, lemon zest, and some funky fruit. Mouthfeel is thin but refreshing with nice funky yeast notes and citrus flavors. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - JUN 17, 2011
On tap at Capone’s.
Pours a clear yellow with a moderate white head and some spotty lacing on the way down. The nose brings some light saison yeast and a bit of light straw. Mildly earthy. The flavor kicks it up a notch with a good dosing of slightly-spicy and earthy saison yeast along with some straw and grain. Light all around, though the yeast takes the front seat. Good flavor. Light and crisp with high carbonation. Nothing too eventful, but really drinkable and a nice all-around brew on a hot summer day.

On tap at Devils Den. Pours an ultra cloudy glowing yellow orange. Small head and very little lacing. Aromas of honey, bret, yeast, soapy water and lemons. Taste is refreshing and slightly sour for a saison, mostly notes of lemon zest, juicy malts, straw, bannana. This was a very smooth drinking saison from Cigar City.

On tap at Capone’s for the Cigar City Philly Beer Week Event with Leafs93 and O’Meara. Pours a pale golden color with a white foam head. Has an earthy aroma with hints of citrus. Nice light and airy. Clean, not funky. Sweet earthy taste with the perfect bitter layer. I really enjoyed this saison. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 6, 2011
