This Tampa-style Lager is inspired by the traditional German-style Helles, which translates to “light colored.” Perfect for the Florida heat, it’s a beer that’s made for drinkin’ when it’s truly hotter than helles outside

Can from Merchants. Aroma is corn, bread, wheat, earthy hop, slightly floral, nice. Appearance is golden, clear, off white head. Taste is lovely, earthy hop initially meets you followed by wheat and corn, somewhat tart, bready, floral, great. Mouthfeel is light body, light crisp carbonation, earthy hop wheat and bread aftertaste. Overall, a very solid Helles.

En positiv overraskelse. Dejlig frisk og velsmagende øl. Savner moget fylde som andre øl af denne type.

$2.00 can, Beer Run. Pours pale gold with a white head. Aroma is cracker, celery (so much celery), grain. Flavor is sweet grain, a hint of lime, very little else. Thin carbonation.

Draught at Taphouse. Clear golden colored with a small white head. Malty aroma of hay and citrus with notes of hops. Malty flavor of hay with notes of hops. Hoppy finish.

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2018 Smooth taste, great step up from the traditional American lager. Glad to have found this in my local GA grocery store.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2018 12 oz can at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. This is a striking take on an American lager. Perhaps off style but bold, complex and distinct. Smooth, medium+ body and near medium carbonation. Well crafted and superb for style.

Got it in the CAN. Pretty typical light beer with not much aroma or flavor. Can't say it's any worse or better than Coors light or Bud light and I don't care for those either. Well I gave this a try and that is the only reason I picked up a 6 pack of them but not going to buy this again. On the bright side it tastes better than the pilsner I tried earlier so maybe I can mix this one to make that one a bit more drinkable. So not is all lost on this one.

Lots of malt. Hint of honey. Slightly hazy pale yellow. Bright white thin head with little retention. Fairly malty. Just a bit of skunk. Medium to light bodied. Not bad. Just a plain old lager.

Pale yellow pour, thin white head. Nose is malt. Middle is mild malt with a hint of fresh apple, some hay, and some mild earthy hops. Finish leans dry. Not spectacular, but not bad.

Pours a very light gold, frothy eggshell head. Nose is sweet grain. Very crisp and clean. Light malts, sweet, grass. Very straightforward and easy. Good for the style.
