COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Tocobaga lived off the bounty of Tampa Bay hundreds of years before the arrival of the Spanish in the 1500’s. They were potters, tool makers and the only Florida natives to grow maize. The large platform mounds they built are still with us today, with one of the largest found near Old Tampa Bay in Safety Harbor, Florida. Climb to the top, and with a little imagination, you can see Tampa Bay as they did. Graphic design by Eric Swanson. Recipe by Tim Ogden.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2018 Draft at Khyber Pass. Murky rusty brown pour with beige foam. Spicy caramel malts with piney hop resins. Interesting mix of flavors. Black Forest cake. Wicker basket. Blood orange. Cinnamon. Leather. Kale. Spruce. Dried berries. Red pepper. Has a bit of a bite. Later sips taste sweet up front. Long bitter finish. Takes a while to warm up to but worth the effort.

Rust and a little carmel like old candy you found in the seat of your friends beater. Hazy amber pour with decent head. Carpet lacing. Slightly tangy finish. Tap at Boxelder.

oobawa (1867) - Tennessee, USA - DEC 25, 2017
Lovely red ale, hoppy as hell but with a mellow, rounded malt sweetness to pad the hefty bitterness that builds in the back end. Caramel, toasted bread, and hints of apple and cocoa lead to a formidable citric hop wall, grapefruit and orange adding a nice fruity balance before the pint transitions into a lingering bitter pine finish. Grows toasty and grainy, with the hops making their presence known deep into the fade. Creamy texture is to die for, while the looks are amazing, pouring a rich brown-red with a lasting off-white head and infinite lacing. Caramel, toasted grain, and citrus on the nose. Lovely pint.

Draught @ Albion. Hazy reddish brown with foamy beige head, faint caramel aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter caramel taste with roasted malt flavor, thin body, medium finish. Satisfying mouthfeel.

12 ounce can. Dark Amber red color. Frothy tan head. Earthy toasted malt nose. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor. Notes of caramel and roasted pecans. Resiny hops in finish. Long, bitter aftertaste.

aracauna (3710) - Georgia, USA - NOV 26, 2017
Dark berries, toast, excellent malt character. The flavor falls a little short of the aroma as the bitterness is a little on the harsh side. Still an excellent beer.

12 oz can at home. Pours a hazy amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted malts, caramel, some earthy notes, a hint of citrus, decent enough amber but it’s still an amber.
