Cigar City Torcedores Series Keegan’s Nightman Black IPA is just right. Nice roasty aroma coming from a very dark pour with a thick tight head. Just the right balance of roasty, chocolatey flavors and hop character. Finish is satisfying leaving you wanting for more. Keegan’s Nightman is great take on the style and another CCB hit.

On tap at Oblivion Taproom, Orlando. Pours black with a brown head as nice hoppy, citrusy, roasted malt aroma. Taste is delicious, tons of hoppy, citrus, grapefruit notes with dark, roasted malt and fruity notes into the roasty, bitter finish. Great black IPA

Poured dark black with aromas of toast, roast, light coffee, and some hops. Flavors are roast followed by hops, citrus and light bitter coffee. Solid beer surprised by this one.

Crowler thanks to Matt. Pours a dark brown with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong pine and lemon. Medium mouthfeel with rich malt, light pine, and roasty finish. Very good.

32oz crowler from burg326. Poured a medium density pitch black with a smaller to average sized creamy light beige head. Aroma is nice roasty, chocolate pudding skins, slight hint of metallic notes, roasted pineapple and roasted yellow grapefruit. Meeium body, creamy, average carbonation. Flavor is good, nice roasty malts, some burnt toast, light charcoal, burmt citrus fruits, bitter hops.Yum yum yum

32oz Crowler shared by dmac. Pours black with a finger of creamy tan head. Aroma of black coffee, chocolate, basement, with hints of pine and mint. Taste of burnt malts, black coffee, lemon zest, pine, with a sweet toffee finish. Delicious

I didn’t initially know this was an IPA. It looks like a stout or porter. Judged sa dark IPA I like the toasty character. The hop bite is limited, but it has a clean aftertaste.

(Rating #8,800) Crowler... Pitch black pour with a mid-sized, creamy, tan head. Good retention. The bouquet is roasty, offering fudge, toasted tree nuts and a hint of vanilla moreso than the charcoal and dank hoppiness I was expecting. Full-bodied with tingly carbonation. The hops show up in the flavor – pine and deeply roasted malts. Not burnt and dank as most black IPAs. Reminiscent of Alpha Klaus by Three Floyds. ”Big ol’ can of beer” provided by burg326!
