On tap at WOB. Pours black with a small brown head and aroma of fruits and roasted malt. Taste is of roasty, of dark fruits, roasted malt, vanilla, nuts, aand chocolate with a long, yeasty finish. Great, unique saison by CCB GT (10002) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Tap at Dahlia’s Pour House. Pours a low haze, deep cola. Big lacing. Medium foam. Nose is estery, gamey, mint, cocoa powder, peppermint gum. Taste is nutty, gamey, coffee, mint. Palate is dusty, coffee gritty, more odd mint flavors. dchmela (3078) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 22, 2013
Tap at Oblivion. Pours a light black. Big roasted grain, Belgian yeast esters in aroma. Smooth light malt body with notes of roasted grain in taste. Pretty good.

On tap at Gainesville Brass Tap. Pours black with a big creamy cream colored head. Smell is veey roasty with serious Belgian funk. Light bodied and good carbonation. Taste is roast, almost coffee up front. Continues with some yeasty aftertaste. Not bad. MartinT (10037) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 10, 2013
My Bottom Line:
mlunger12 (645) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 4, 2013
Burnt malt flavors are salvaged by citrusy thyme allusions, chicory-like roastiness and a lush mouthfeel for quite the quizzical Dark Saison.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam surfs the blackness.
-The body is not as dry as I like my Saisons, but then again the finish is not that sweet.
-The creamy body is easily the beer’s best feature. But those burnt notes detract from the enjoyment after every sip.
-The roasted malt bitterness is met by more citrusy spiciness.
On tap at Funky Buddha.
On tap at Redlight Redlight, jet black with a bit of spiderweb lacing, extemely malty and rich, sweet chocolate aroma with a little bit of spice on the back end. Not too bad. changeup45 (1731) - Lake Mary, Florida, USA - JAN 18, 2013
Draft at Mermaid Juice. Black pour with a frothy tan head. This is a bit spicy with light roasty chocolaty notes, with clove, vanilla, toffee, and citrus. The body is light and a touch thin. Dry and a bit roasty in the finish. I’m not a huge fan of the dark saison but I do like the drinkability with this. Pretty solid beer. Sammy (12623) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 17, 2013
Enjoyed at the CC Tasting Room. Drinkable on a warm day, but undercarbonated and a little sourness that detracted from the spice. Not a normal saison. Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 10, 2013
A deep dark saison with a thin lacing brown head. In aroma, a nice peated malt with dark fruits and soy sauce. In mouth, a nice smooth peaty and lightly salty malt with smooth dark fruits, fusel alcohol, interesting. On tap at brewery, Dec. 9 2012. SanfordBrewer (1642) - Sanford, Florida, USA - JAN 8, 2013
very strange combination of styles. both the saison and "dry stout" character come through, but i.m.o. do not compliment each other at all.
