Draft… This beer rocks!… Murky and dark brown with a small, fluffy, off-white head. The aroma is acidic and fruity with interwoven notes of sour and dark cherries, red wine vinegar, funky socks, mild cocoa, a rumor of armpit stench and maybe a hint of nail polish remover - or maybe not. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and stinging carbonation. The flavor profile is such a treat – super sour and black cherries, mild yeasty bitterness and a very light notation of toasted caramel. Tart, funky, tongue-numbing finish. Weighing in at 10%, the abv could not be more disguised. Acidic, funky and acetic – everything a Flanders red should be! World class collaboration by Cigar City and Saint Somewhere! steelcitybrew (454) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JAN 30, 2011

Not a style I like, but as good an example as I have had. Funk, funk, and more funk. drowland (8888) - Georgia, USA - JAN 27, 2011
1/15/11. On tap at the brewery in a snifter. Deep brown pour with a thick, fluffy brown head that sticks. Huge sour vinegar aroma with hints of bitter dark chocolates and sweet caramel. Sour flavor with an acid bite, less vinegar, and a bigger dose of roasted chocolate malts. Tasty! Ibrew2or3 (8743) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JAN 23, 2011
Poured up on tap at Cigar City with dirty murky rutty amber and thin tan head. The aroma is abrasive and abusive with dates mixing with pineapple slices that are baking in the mid summer Carver City sun as well as sourness, dusty hazel nuts, mild funk and nail polish. Yo! What is going on here? The taste begins both tart and sweet with moldy lemon rind and fuzzy molded lime mixing with sugary sweetness. It then gets full of sour and rotting fruit by midway and seems to end bone dry with lingering lime, aspirin and berry notes.

Cloudy dark brown to black color, light brown head. Vinegar, acidic, some sweetness, phenoles, plastic taste. Vinegar, "Salubrin", phenolic scent. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness.
I’m not much of a sour ale drinker or fan, but this works fairly well for me, not too bad.

Pression @ CCB.
