From notes, consumed on 3/25/13 at ChurchKey during CBC Week. Nitro draft poured into a tasting snifter. Pours jet black with a finger of light tan head. Pretty good lacing. Aromas of cream, coffee, chocolate, a bit of whiskey. Tasting notes of toffee, cream, coffee, light whiskey. Creamy mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a dry finish. This one was a winner with it’s full cocoa and whiskey flavors, and being only 5% abv. I didn’t get much whiskey in the aroma, but lots of cocoa, roasted malts and mellow oak were all there. Had this at the bar room. It's a very dark and toasty beer with a bitter taste. It's a medium palate but packs a nice punch

Draft @ the brewery. Pours dark brown/black color with tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, oak and whiskey. Lots of whiskey flavor with roasted malts and chocolate with some oak and a hint of smoke. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Tap at CCB. Pours a thin black with tan head. Big whiskey and roasted grain nose. Taste is light roasted malts and touches of whiskey. Tasty.

On tap at Hunah day 2013. Nose was pure whiskey and some roast with leather like aromas. It’s like someone burned your shoe and then tried to put out the fire with whiskey...which probably only make things worse...and make me mad because of the wasted whiskey. On nitro at CCB. Pours a hazy dry stout brown with a tan head. Nose is chocolate, roasted malt, earth, wood, and whiskey. Flavor is similar- whiskey presence is pronounced with earthy and dry roast all over. Tap at Churchkey. Inkier pour, huge nitro head. Big retention and 360 nitro lace. Nose is muted, detergent, mild dried lemon. Taste is weaker, minerally, very light bodied. Papery, void palate.
