Very well done for what it is. Blueberry well integrated. Pours golden with God head. Bittersweet finish. Some citrus.

Draft at the source. Slightly hazy golden color, white head. Nice aroma of vanilla, tannin, flowers. Taste has lightly bitter tannic fruit with floral esters. Not bad.

Base white oak with big berry aroma, somewhat artificial, tart aroma Lots of bb flavor, but harsh, maybe astringent from big oak. Good for a blueberry though.

4oz on tap at the brewpub. Clear amber orange color. Thin ring of off-white head, leaving decent ridges of lace. Medium-plus body. Smooth, kind of crisp, light carbonation. Light slick texture. Moderate sweet taste, lighter bitterness. Kind of a bigger caramel malt, more malt from than the IPA than the hop it seems. Light spicy, mild citrusy hop. Musty, ripe blueberry flavor. Doesn’t taste artificial at all, although it’s not as tasty as I expected it to be. Mild heat on the end. An alright fruit IPA. Doesn’t quite work for me.

Leighton (21296) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2015
Keg at the CCB tasting room. Pours clear gold with a foamy, off-white head. Nice blueberry muffin aroma - it’s hard to pick out much else, to be honest. Medium sweet flavor, lightly astringent, with heavy grass, berry skins, wood, earth, some mashed blueberries. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, sticky and resinous, with continuing ripe and jammy blueberry character, grassy bitterness. Not a graceful combination here.

jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 19, 2015
Keg @ CCB. Slightly hazy Amber pour with a small head. Nose is initially dominated by blueberry and sweet cake batter. Soft pinecone, conifer forest. Taste retains some of that blueberry muffin sweetness, but incorporates some peppery wood. Syrupy yet somehow pretty dry on the finish.

Another cool IPA treatment from CCB. Dark orange-gold pour. Smells of fruity hops and blueberries. Nice real blueberry smell (not too cloying or artificial). Taste brought more of a nice creamy oak presence. Nice hop notes at the finish.
