COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an American White Oak-aged version of Jai Alai India Pale Ale. The white oak adds smoothing notes of vanilla and slight hints of dill to the aroma and flavor profile. The finish is elegantly dry due to the light tannin notes from oak aging and though still loaded with hop flavor, hop bitterness is more restrained.

12 oz bottle from a trade. Aroma is tropical fruit, mango, kiwi, orange, and a tiny bit of piney hop scent. Flavor is mango, orange, kiwi, grapefruit, and a suddle piney hop taste. Really great beer, a must try if you are a fan of jai Alai.

Pours golden amber and clear with a medium white head. Aroma is spicy sweet pineapple and citrus. Taste is well rounded vanilla and oak with sweet pineapple and generalized tropical fruits. The bitterness from the hops comes across as a spiciness from beginning to finish. Awesome IPA with amazing complexity.

In my opinion one of the best two or three beers from Cigar City. I wait every year for this release and there is never enough to go around. Huge tropical aroma of melons, mango and grapefruit. Taste is very solid IPA up front and you pick up a lot of the Jai Alai character in the beginning. Mid way through there is a flood oak, vanilla and more of the tropical hoppiness, and you would swear there is some kind of fruit in there. Finish is long, but not bitter, intensely smooth. If you can find it buy as much as you can.

12floz can, COD: 05.05.2017, poured contents into a tulip glass. This is a tropical fruit smelling, medium-gold colored, excellent tasting elixir. There are only positives, no negatives.

7/13/10. HUGE thanks to daknole for sharing his growler with me, which I think was the last growler filled of this gem. Pretty orange/amber pour. The aroma is huge fresh cut oak - there is no mistaking it, pure wood, tones of vanilla, delish. That’s all on top of the awesome citrusy tropicalness of the Jai Alai base. Smells pretty damn good. The flavor is that awesome sweet tropical Jai Alai IPA that I love so much with another solid dose of wood, vanilla, and cream on top of it. This is great!

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Duvel tulip. Appearance: Pours a hazy caramel brown color with a 3-4 finger creamy off-white head. Excellent lacing. Smell: Orange, pineapple, grapefruit, coconut, vanilla, pine and oak. Very tropical and fruity aroma. Very complex aroma which smells delicious. Taste: Pine and grapefruit up front followed by coconut, vanilla and sweet citrus in the middle and ending with a blast of lemon rind and grapefruit hops at the finish. Aftertaste is bitter grapefruit. Extremely well balanced and delicious. Flavor is nearly flawless. Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a nice amount of carbonation. Quite creamy. Goes down very smoothly. Drinkability: Excellent drinkability. I only bought 2 bottles so I’m going to save the other for another day. I really wish I had more. You could knock back a few of these without any trouble. Overall: Excellent IPA overall. I really wish that this one was a year-round offering from Cigar City. This is one of the best beers I’ve ever had and I will be looking for more.

Pleasant citrusy and lively nose that definitely ends with a coconut note. The taste is beautifully bitter with a back end of sweetness coming through with sweet coconut flavor. A little bite at the very end provides a nice ending. Great take on an instant classic.

Smell is oakey and vanilla. It reminds me of a cigar humidor. Taste is very smooth and lots of vanilla and hops. This is a great beer.
