COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an American White Oak-aged version of Jai Alai India Pale Ale. The white oak adds smoothing notes of vanilla and slight hints of dill to the aroma and flavor profile. The finish is elegantly dry due to the light tannin notes from oak aging and though still loaded with hop flavor, hop bitterness is more restrained.

I wasn’t sure were exactly to rate this. I was rather off-put by some things and, curiosity aside, prefer the regular Jai Alai to this. Pours a orangish clear (or if you like the bottom, murky) with a decent sized head and ample sticky lacing. The nose is a bit strong, mainly of tropical punch and citrus. The taste is dominated by the boisterous white-oak (i guess) flavor. I am not sure if they both aged and "added" flavor, but it’s huge and in-your-face. It’s good though, don’t get my wrong. Blowing past that blockade, one finds the same wonderful attributes that make the Jai Alai such a top rate beer from such a low-rate state(FL). well balanced malts, very faint alcohol nestled around a very robust and hoppy character, masquerading under a plume of vanilla bean stalks. I think this is more of the "novelty" shelf.

Golden beer with a fluffy off white head. Big hoppy nose with some wet oak notes. This is a really nice juicy IPA. Lots of stone fruit and citrus over sweet malt with a long dry woody finish.

Can. Clear gold with a mostly white head. Aroma of citrusy hops and juicy malts. The flavor is juicy sweet malts balanced with fruity bitter hops that quickly fades into a big oaky dry finish.

12 oz. canned 05/09/2017. Mostly clear, orange-amber with a sticky disc of foam. Mild aroma is orange zest, bread, vanilla and a touch of white pepper. The flavor is stronger with some caramel, black pepper, mocha, toasted nut, vanilla and hearty wood. Medium bodied with almost-medium carbonation and a nice little dry bias.

COD 5/5/17. Clear amber pour with a touch of garnet. World class head volume, lacing and retention. Outstanding nose of tangerine, pineapple, hint of zest, mango, orange and a subtle spruce provide the hop influence. Of these, pineapple is the strongest. The base is bready pale malt with a dose of caramel. The oak influence is present, but rather subtle. The body is heavy medium and approaches creamy in the effervescent finish. The carbonation / body balance is world class. Some ales require a high level of effervescence to aid flavor separation, but not this one. Effervescence is mild and barely reaches prickly in the finish. This results in a slick oily finish. The flavor profile is quite outstanding. The hop flavors of the nose all appear over a sweet middle that lingers, allowing the tropical hops to shine. It begins with the citrus notes then flows into pineapple and crescendos with mango. Caramel subtly appears as the sweetness fades. Caramel transitions into vanilla. Oak makes its presence known from three quarters of the way through and lingers as tannin in the finish. Bitterness is mild, yet ample.
