COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an American White Oak-aged version of Jai Alai India Pale Ale. The white oak adds smoothing notes of vanilla and slight hints of dill to the aroma and flavor profile. The finish is elegantly dry due to the light tannin notes from oak aging and though still loaded with hop flavor, hop bitterness is more restrained.

I wasn’t sure were exactly to rate this. I was rather off-put by some things and, curiosity aside, prefer the regular Jai Alai to this. Pours a orangish clear (or if you like the bottom, murky) with a decent sized head and ample sticky lacing. The nose is a bit strong, mainly of tropical punch and citrus. The taste is dominated by the boisterous white-oak (i guess) flavor. I am not sure if they both aged and "added" flavor, but it’s huge and in-your-face. It’s good though, don’t get my wrong. Blowing past that blockade, one finds the same wonderful attributes that make the Jai Alai such a top rate beer from such a low-rate state(FL). well balanced malts, very faint alcohol nestled around a very robust and hoppy character, masquerading under a plume of vanilla bean stalks. I think this is more of the "novelty" shelf.

From tap. Almost clear orange color with off white head. Hoppy and malty aroma, grass, floral, light pine, light spicy, caramel, wood. Sweet and bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Delicious IPA, hitting all the citric-pine hop notes of original Jai Alai but rounding them out into smooth harmony. Orange and mango lurk on the periphery, while a mildly sweet middle adds creamy caramel and biscuit notes. Vanilla underlines everything, and the finish grows woodsy and herbal, with (like the description says) dill popping up as well. Perfect pour, a gorgeous gold with a permanent top of thick white foam and lacing for days. Oak-tinged herbal nose with hints of citrus. Smooth texture, creamy and luscious. Killer beer here.

Poured from a can. Thick and persistent head and heavy carbonation. Wood and citrus on the nose. On the palate, bitter pine resin first and vanilla and flowers second. A bit of dark or smoky wood flavor imparted by the oak aging. Somewhat thin mouth feel. It's fine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can pour. Definitely oak on the nose. More malty than most current IPAs. Pretty smooth. Nice.

It pours golden and clear with a large head head. Head retention is good. there is plenty of lacing as well. Aromas of citrus and pine are the first aromas. There are background notes of vanilla and wood. There is a bountiful, burst of flavors. There are strong notes of citrus and stone fruit. There are background notes of vanilla, pine, wood, and toast. It has a moderate body with moderately high bitterness that is long lasting through the finish. Overall, this IPA has a lot of aroma and flavor that is not so bitter as to not have a couple in a sitting.

I looks pretty much like regular Jai Alai. The aroma is similiar, as well, but there is a whiff of oak. The palate seems heavier, though. Taste wise the oak is a bit more prominent, and it has kind of a boozy character I was not expecting. Pretty tasty, though...
