This is an American White Oak-aged version of Jai Alai India Pale Ale. The white oak adds smoothing notes of vanilla and slight hints of dill to the aroma and flavor profile. The finish is elegantly dry due to the light tannin notes from oak aging and though still loaded with hop flavor, hop bitterness is more restrained.

Once again thanks to tastybeer for the southern surprise. Another twist on Jai Alai works well. The white oak here doesnt overwhelm the base beer; in fact it works to improve an already world class product.

Aroma / Appearance - Idle carbonation takes it time escaping the confines of the shaker glass. A bronze base is warm and inviting. White pine, orange glo, and polished maple remind me of a Christmas tree lot in December. Background aspects of mango and pineapple add even more depth.

Flavor / Palate - A warmth from roses, wood, and orange jam provides a welcoming start. Transitioning to a robust vanilla center it tastes a bit like cream cheese. The bitter finish warms the throat and fills the stomach. I could see drinking a bottle or two and calling it a night after a day at work.

Poured from the tap into a pint glass at the Crystal Beer Palace in Savannah. The appearance is a deep gold color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is full of fruit, hops and some oak. The taste is big on fruit with a noticeable touch of oak.

Can into tulip glass, hazy copper-golden color with light tan head. Aroma notes of fruity citrus hops, oak and caramel malt sweetness. Taste adds grapefruit, wood, vanilla, some apricot and dill. Medium body, low-moderate carbonation, dry, tad sticky with bitter woody citrus finish. Like taking the regular to a woodier next level, very nice.

Drank after a grueling 33k trail run, and it hit the spot. Nice bite of hops. Crisp and dry. Light citrus flavor on the finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sweet piney aroma. Pours a light orange amber with a thick bright white head that coats the glass as it fades. Resin. Earthy. Smooth. Hard candy. Sharp finish. Really good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Orange to red pour with a single finger head with lace present. Aroma is fruity, also a bit of wood. Taste is nice, fruit, mostly grapefruit and hints of vanilla and oak. Lingering bitterness. Really great beer, nice take on regular Jai Alai, which is great already. Medium bodied.

Not my style but as an ipa this is pretty solid. Big west coast ipa nose with passion fruit and vanilla. Noticeable woody note. Flavor is not overly bitter but balanced with citrus hops, vanilla and wood. Light palate and easy drinking. Finishes clean with light astringency. Very nice ipa

Deep golden with a medium white head. Same tropical fruits in the nose than regular jai alai. Only difference is some slight phenolic flavor and minor astringency on the palate. Prefers the plain vanilla version

The body of this beer sported a typical IPA color of peachy amber with the ample carbonation feeding a two finger thick head. The aroma was citric, herbal, and floral, with a touch of vanilla. The taste was a classic IPA with grapefruit, caramel, and apricots. The oak aging was very subtle, adding toasty and vanilla accents that were in more of a supportive role rather than the stars of the show. The body was light, crisp, and very drinkable.
