Not really my style as I’m an IPA guy. But... This one pours dark, smell is sweet and taste is as well. Great pour. Wonderful head. decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - AUG 21, 2014
Brown pour with watery tan head and lace. Aroma is late chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor is chocolate, roasted malt, and a touch of abv. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Slight oxidation on a medium bodied well carbonated beer jtclockwork (16602) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 24, 2014
Bottle shared by Dr. Silverworm. Pours dark brown with tan head. Nose/taste of molasses, toast, chocolate and milk chocolate. Medium body. Frank (4195) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 22, 2014
This beer is definitely showing its age at this point. It is brown with a small head of fine bubbles. Nose is mostly oxidized malts and it is lightly tart and cardboardy. I wish I could have tried this fresh but it is clearly way past its prime now. crossovert (12934) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 22, 2014
Bottle. Don’t relaly think the collobrating brewers relaly cared to make it that interesting. Its a much bigger baltic porter than most, with a bozze note and even some oxidaiton already.

Aroma is coffee, cardboard, slightly hoppy. Tastes are cola, coffee, slightly astringent, touch of alcohol and sourness. Finish is slightly thin, but loads of coffee and touches of sour astringency. Decent. deyholla (11606) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 19, 2014
Bottle, thanks for sharing! Pours a hazy chocolate brown with a gray head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma has a bit of booze with roasted malts and dark grains. Flavor has smooth roasted malts and dark grains with some light booze. alexsdad06 (10436) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 12, 2014
Draft and bottled. Pours a nice opaque chocolate brown color with a small tan head that quickly disappears. The aroma and flavor has roasted malts, milk and dark chocolate, earthy and herbal hops, a splash of dark fruit, light nutty notes and wood. Medium bodied, easy drinking with a dry finish. Not bad. cubs (10636) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUL 22, 2013
Bottle @ home, courtesy of DrSilverworm. Thanks! Pours a dark brown appearance with a brown head. Anise, quite roasty, big dark fruity, plum/prune, dark chocolate aroma. Sweet dark fruity, raisin, lightly roasty, dark chocolate, a touch smoky, caramel, grape, plum, cherry, molasses flavor with a fairly dry finish. Not a big fan. Poured from 12 ounce bottle bought at The Party Source. Very dark brown color, small tan head, fine firm roasted malt aroma with vanilla and fruit notes, very nice rich malty flavor. My only criticisms are some astringency and a little too much carbonation. Still, a very worthwhile brew that I’m sure is even better on draft.
