COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Block IPA is a true Hop Monster with 6 different hop varieties slammed in every inch of this beer. The malt bill is simple and straight forward so not to get in the way of the true hop flavor. The initial aroma is citrus and passion fruit followed by a burst of green hop and pine flavors.. The bitterness comes through in the middle allowing for a pure hop goodness in the finish.

Nice color, excellent head. Slight malt with flavors don't seem to blend as smoothly as they should. This lends to a nice taste but not a "wow" taste that sits on the palate for a fleeting moment. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

hazy amber, thick puffy white ring, good lacing. Stinky melon husk, light sour notes. Resinous metal and orange, super bitter notes mid palate. Finishes with lightly dirty gum notes.

On tap at Bier Station in KC. Light golden amber in color. Fresh bright citrus pine and tropical fruit notes. Long clean bitter finish with grapefruit rind.

Really good overall beer, enjoyed it. The brewery is rather cool as well. I can't seem to figure out the post on the Mobil version though.

Clear golden-copper with white head. Dry piney aroma. Lightly sweet with some piney undertones; for some reason the flavors seem to be distinct, not blending well together with and earthy finish a hint of off flavor. Hard to put my finger on why, but I don't care for this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

64 ounce growler thanks to Wes. Pours a nice bright orange. Very hop floral. Serious pine and citrus notes. Bitter. Very nice.

On draft at the brewery. Floral, citric hop aroma, some tropical fruit tones and very light honeyish sweetness, pine and grapefruit appearing in the background as well. Brilliantly clear medium-dark golden in color, head is fine but lasting with detailed lacing to match. Flavor profile is hugely hoppy but with just enough countering malty sweetness and flavor, with more honeyish tones and piney hop blending together, alongside notes of tropical fruit, pear, pineapple and finishing with a moderately strong blend of hop bitterness. Very flavorful. Smooth and resinous in feel with low effervescence and a medium-full body. I like this quite a bit.

On tap at the brewery. It poured a golden/orange color with a white head. The aroma was of citrus, malts and some pine. The taste was similar with more citrus, pine, grapefruit and tropical fruits. Good stuff.

Draft at the brewery. Excellent American-style IPA. Beautifully active and leaving classic lacing on the glass, this boils over with citric yumminess and has a taut viscous character. Love it. (#5898, 12/20/2014)

An okay IPA, though actually not as bitter as the ESB. Pours translucent orange with a pretty nondescript hop flavor - subtle citrus.
