Fruit nor of plums and cherries. A hint of alcohol. Sweet taste, candysugar with still a bit sourness of fruit. Short aftertaste. I would say this beer is to classify as a summer double

Flesje thuis gedronken. Koperkleurig, helder bier. Fruitig aroma. Smaak is zoet en fruitig. Weinig nasmaak.

25ml bottle from Verheyde, Watou. Pours dark brown, off-white head. Aroma is promisingly sweet with some dubbel yeast. Taste is smooth, lightly sweet but falls short of a good sweet dubbel character. Something just doesnt seem right, with a somewhat thin body and some dusty cobwebs coming through.

Bottle at home. Aroma is sweet malt, raisins, brown sugar, caramel, metallic notes. Flavour is unpleasant malty sweetness. Body is light to medium, weak stuff. Too much like sugar water.

Served from a bottle in a snifter. Pours ruby red with a medium diminishing head. The aroma is a wonderful mix of yeast, apples and some floral notes. At the second sniff some almost undetected vinegar notes creep in but not in a horrible way... it makes the smell somewhat more interesting. The taste is a really complex combination of sweet malts, caramel, raisins and toffee. Extremely nice and interesting beer.

The beer has a beautiful deep ruby red color. A delicate layer of almond colored, rather rough foam is formed on top of it. The bulk of the foam doesnt remain for a long time. The beer is quite clear. The smell is nice. It has a nice sweet aspect. It is a little watery unfortunately. There is also a sour aroma, reminding me of sourdough bread. The smell has something savory. It is quite nice. There is a nice roasted barley flavor and an almondy alcohol aroma. Its a nice beer, but it definitely doesnt belong to the world top.

Anstndigt mrk rd-brun farve. Gr og et strejf af malt i aroma. I frste omgang var jeg ikke alt for imponerede, tnker der var ikke megen subtilitet her, let humlet, sdlig og meget sent bitter eftersmag. Er der noget ndder i den her?
