3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Dark red brown with a foamy head that quickly disappears. Bitter chocolate, malty, sweet smells. Taste is bittersweet with notes of dark fruits and noticeable traces of it’s 7% alcohol content. From mid bottle on the taste is much lighter and less complex. I prefer the blonde Ciney.
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2017 Birra dal colore ambrato/marrone. Schiuma nocciola fine e persistente. Al naso caramello e toffee. Al palato media carbonatazione con note già percepite al naso. Birra un po stucchevole, berla non dispiace ma niente di eclatante. nathanvc (796) - Brugge, BELGIUM - NOV 11, 2017
Pours hazy brown with a lasting, short, tan head. The aroma contains caramel, nuts, syrup, some red fruits, biscuit, hops, (light roasted) malt and milk chocolate. It tastes medium to heavy sugary/malty sweet and only light hoppy bitter with a slightly metallic edge. Medium body, sticky/slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Secretly liking this. Bottle - 250ml. Brown body with ruby glints and an average, off-white foamy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with brown sugar, caramel, and fruity hints. Its well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries caramel and some woody notes. Ends with a moderately warming, bittersweet finish. Enjoyable. Singularity (6369) - Blattniksele, SWEDEN - JUN 6, 2017
250 ml bottle in Brussels, from the bottle. Aroma and taste are sweet, malty, sugary, slight hay and yeast. Slight alcohol. Syfher (511) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAR 22, 2017
Bottle of 25cl, in a Ciney glass; from the fridge.
Very refreshing brown ale, with a candi sugar taste but without too much sweetness. Aroma is malty and not so hoppy.
The head is creamy brown, and the colour is deep brown. Ysok02 (1913) - Mons, BELGIUM - MAR 21, 2017
Robe brune, fine mousse. Nez assez simple sur le chocolat, le malt, pointe de houblon. Bouche à l’attaque aqueuse, légère note torréfie, bulle discrète, finale courte. Bière sans grand intérêt. Thompson (713) - - OCT 5, 2016
