ghawener (1607) - Santa Tecla, - APR 3, 2005
Bottle: Dark red brown with a foamy head that quickly disappears. Bitter chocolate, malty, sweet smells. Taste is bittersweet with notes of dark fruits and noticeable traces of it’s 7% alcohol content. From mid bottle on the taste is much lighter and less complex. I prefer the blonde Ciney.

Pyrmir (6088) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - JUN 6, 2017
250 ml bottle in Brussels, from the bottle. Aroma and taste are sweet, malty, sugary, slight hay and yeast. Slight alcohol.

Syfher (418) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAR 22, 2017
Bottle of 25cl, in a Ciney glass; from the fridge. Very refreshing brown ale, with a candi sugar taste but without too much sweetness. Aroma is malty and not so hoppy. The head is creamy brown, and the colour is deep brown.

Ysok02 (1553) - Mons, BELGIUM - MAR 21, 2017
Robe brune, fine mousse. Nez assez simple sur le chocolat, le malt, pointe de houblon. Bouche à l’attaque aqueuse, légère note torréfie, bulle discrète, finale courte. Bière sans grand intérêt.

Thompson (707) - - OCT 5, 2016
Bottle shared with Benzai a long time ago at Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Brown colo...off-white head. Smell and taste are malty...sweetness...caramel and notes of dark fruit.

melush (4065) - SPAIN - JUN 22, 2016
Bottle 25cl. @ Cerveceria Internacional, Seville, Spain. A: Dark amber. T: Malt, caramel, slightly sour.

Inoven (746) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JUN 11, 2016
Flesje thuis gedronken. Koperkleurig, helder bier. Fruitig aroma. Smaak is zoet en fruitig. Weinig nasmaak.

minutemat (5473) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2016
25ml bottle from Verheyde, Watou. Pours dark brown, off-white head. Aroma is promisingly sweet with some dubbel yeast. Taste is smooth, lightly sweet but falls short of a good sweet dubbel character. Something just doesn’t seem right, with a somewhat thin body and some dusty cobwebs coming through.

tricksta_p (4638) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - MAY 24, 2016
Bottle at home. Aroma is sweet malt, raisins, brown sugar, caramel, metallic notes. Flavour is unpleasant malty sweetness. Body is light to medium, weak stuff. Too much like sugar water.

bjakk (772) - Skagafjordur, ICELAND - APR 22, 2016
Red, clear wirh yellowish nice foam. Sour alcohol in the aroma. Sweeeeeet, fruity malt with mild raisins aftertaste.

I_LUV_BEER (231) - - APR 17, 2016
Served from a bottle in a snifter. Pours ruby red with a medium diminishing head. The aroma is a wonderful mix of yeast, apples and some floral notes. At the second sniff some almost undetected vinegar notes creep in but not in a horrible way... it makes the smell somewhat more interesting. The taste is a really complex combination of sweet malts, caramel, raisins and toffee. Extremely nice and interesting beer.
