25 cL bottle, 2001 vintage from DHVL, 9%. Pours dark brown with a small of-white head. Fruity and dark malty aroma. Sweet fruity, estery. Light chalky note to a dark chocolate and dry roasted malt flavour. Subdued bitterness. Light fruity and yeasty finish. Ungstrup (38140) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - AUG 18, 2004
A red-brown beer with a huge beige lazing head. The aroma is sweet caramel with notes of coriander. The flavor is of alcohol, caramel, and prunes with lemon-soda in the background and a dry finish. The mouthfeel is very soft. joergen (28704) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 14, 2005

I just love dark and strong belgian beers like this. Travlr (25496) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - SEP 18, 2010
Bottle. Dark amber color, beige head. Aroma of caramel. Flavor of caramel. That’s about it. Not much character or complexity. omhper (25349) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 6, 2007
Bottled at Belgobaren, Stockholm. Mahogany colour, rich firm head. Caramelly aroma with lots of red wine. Sweet and caramellym, fruity with some cinnamon. Full bodied and very rich in flavour, also intensely sweet. I really like the flavour of full bodied red wine. Finishes with spun sugar sweetness. Really good to be a macro.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2006 (Bottle 25 cl) Dark amber with quite a huge head. Malty but the bitter hops seems to dominate in a harsh not so pleasant way. 110893 fiulijn (20938) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 25, 2003
Dark amber color; giant thick head. The malt aroma is lightly sour (and quite poor). Good body balance, dryer than the Brune and with an alcohol punch more; malt, a lot of caramel; the mouthfeel is more persistent, the final less strong. Pleasant, but the Brune is more interesting, this one is more ordinary.

Bottle. Excellent large creamy head with very good duration. Color is brown with a ruby tan. Aroma is good with lots of dark fruits and spices. Taste is rich, malty and complex. Semi alcoholic finish. yngwie (17101) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 7, 2006
Bottled. Clear, well-sparkling, dark reddish brown, with a large, dense, beige head that lasts. Lots of blackcurrant in the aroma, along with brown sugar, dried fruits and some cellar. Sweet flavor with berries, dried fruits, some yeast, spices and sugar. Medium to full body, and a finish with sugar, alcohol and spices. Nice one! (060807)
