Clear dark amber. Aroma is caramel and dark fruit. Flavor follows through. Decent bitter.
Got it in the CAN. Amber with decent head. Smells of toasted caramel but tastes more like overcooked caramel candy. There is a herbal spicy quality to it that somewhat make it interesting but still just not that great. OK brew but not one that I plan to get again. Draft at The Luxury. Dark brown with a little beige head. Malty and smooth. Not bad.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2015 Thick bready body, light carb from tap. It?s dark in here but pretty sure a copper color. Aroma is pretty malty. Taste is rich, malty, but a little off. a slight tang? dfinney23 (3271) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 26, 2014
Ambers aren’t the most interesting of beers but this one is quite nice. Fresh caramel and grain with a touch of black pepper. jkwalking05 (4740) - Arlington, Texas, USA - MAR 8, 2014
12 oz bottle. Deep amber with an average off-white head. Aroma is of leaves, moss, tree bark, and malt. Taste is of toffee, earth, grass, woody hops.

Bottle. The look is an off white ok head, the color is amber to red, and and is almost clear. The smell is caramel, paper, cardboard, winey, malt, and hops. The taste is mush, hops, malts, paper, and ok. ttoadee (1491) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAR 7, 2014
Cloudy amber, off white head. Nose is roasted malt. More sweet than bitter. Middle is sweet malt and a hint of dark fruit. Finish is a little yeasty and sweet. OK drsordr (2659) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - JAN 8, 2014
Bottle pour amber. Nose all malt. Mostly toasted and some sweet malt. Taste similar to nose. Late wheaty malt finish. lb4lb (2587) - Austin, Texas, USA - NOV 24, 2013
Pours quite red. Smell is nutty bread, burnt sugar and caramel. Taste is similar and nicely bittered from the burnt flavors but not hoppy at all. Very easy to drink with a sweet burnt bready and nutty flavor which is a bit dry and not cloying at all. I enjoyed it enough to order a second pint. Definitely a good, and easy drinking amber that I’d happily get again. degbert (1773) - Austin, Texas, USA - NOV 1, 2013
Bottle. Pours a very dark amber -- almost red -- with a fine-grained, cream, short head. Nose is apple, apricot, tea, and a touch of smoke. Definitely ESB-like; there’s smoke on the tongue, along with oolong, light rye, and spice. Not much sweetness at all. Some bitterness, but it’s kept in check. Easy to drink, with a prolonged but subtle finish. I like this.
