An odd take on the barleywine style. A orange brownish appearance with a moderate to light head. A somewhat salty aroma if that makes sense, oranges, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sour with some woody notes and grapefruit. I also got some faint cherry and orange flavors. The aftertaste is very warming. Not too bad. aroma: grapefruit, apricot, seashells by the seashore, with soggy bandaids and coconut flavored carmel. is an opaque brown sugar color with sandy colored head. flavor is of foamy bandaids with apricots soaked in vodka, carmel, red apples, an old black boot, and a hgh alcohol burn. almost comparable to a flemish sour or something with the weird flavors and ending on this one. very dried fruit and hazelnut feel with rubber doing a stunt double. 21iceman40 (1735) - Grafton, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 12, 2005
The name on this is really, really weird. Cloudy light brown color with a clear soapy bubble wash. Aroma is full of bark and alcohol soaked caramel. Strawberries soaked in bourbon and then coated in chocolate dominate the body. A sac of dried fruits and nuts briefly makes a cameo in this. 750 mL bottle, snifter. Ruby-amber hue with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma consists of tofffee, caramel and oranges with a rather out of place vinous quality. H. sweet, m. acidic flavor becomes a m. sweet, m. acidic, m. bitter finish. Odd sour band-aid and leather flavor. Medium-full body, oily texture, moderate carbonation, astringent, light alcohol. Couleur brune brouillée, rappelant le jus de pomme naturel non filtré. Vinaigre extrême et cornichons marinés se moquent et piétinent gracieusement les timides fruits telle la mangue et les ananas. En bouche, olives vertes, pommes meurtries, colle en bâtonnet, puissant vernis et poudre de craie deviennent presque spontanément esclaves de l’alcool, s’avérant rapidement comme néfaste et vivement insupportable. Une infection d’une complexité éblouissante.

Not much head for a Cisco. Dark murky brown. Weird and plentiful aromas of mint, toothpaste, ice cream, bretty earth, pickles, cedar, salad dressing, sun lotion etc… Funky and not particularly appetizing. Cementy palate, very dry, aggressive.. Sharp astringence dominate traces of malt… Marshmallows, hard water and chalky flavours top the portrait, Strangely thin for a 12% beers, strong carbonation though not as strong as your average Cisco. Bottle 0431. Pours dense with aromas of caramel and sweets. Taste is somewhat sweet with a great aftertaste. Highly recommended.
