22nd May 2010. ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting! Opaque black stout, no real head. Minerally malt and a little coffee on the nose. Dry palate. Rich dark malt - pretty hard roasted. Some dark chocolate. Too bitter and dry for me.

Medium sweet flavor with notes of oily coffee, burnt wood, bitter earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and oily texture. Lightly drying in the finish with burnt wood and baking cocoa. Nice beer overall.
