Forgetfu Tasting at ChrisOs. Thanks to Leighton. Hazy deep amber - brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and a little crispy and semi dry. Whisper of cherry amid the dark fruits and mild dark malts. Cherries turn a little bitter. Light bitterish finish. Decent.
Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours darkest brown with a medium tan light tan head. The nose is soft, woody, vinous, jam, dark chocolate, vanilla and light oxidised notes. The taste is tart, tangy, dried berry, tangy fruit, some acidity, caramel, damp wood, leaf, light roast and lemon sherbet. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not bad. Bottle shared in London - picked up in MA. Pours rich brown with a creamy, khaki head. Dynamic dark, ripe berries in the nose, some subtle burnt herbs, slight toffee, plums. Medium sweet flavor with lots of wet wood, old berries, some leathery fruits, slight menthol, earth. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Mellow old, tart berries to finish, more wood, bitter worn leather, ripe berries, dirt, plums, dried cranberries. Pretty decent. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - JUN 27, 2014
Bottle: Thanks, Ed. Deep brown & mahogany pour with a mildly creamy, khaki colored head. Aroma of mild berry notes, vinous red grape, & some sweaty, lightly funky wood. Mix of sweet & just a little tartness. Taste is a bit floral out of the gate with some moderately acidic cherry skins following it up. Grape & berry flavors lead into a vinous, lightly astringent oak finish. A little boozy towards the end with an aftertaste of wood & perfume. Not as tart as expected, curbed by the booze, maybe? All around, a good beer, but Monomoy Kriek was superior.

Bottle: The aroma consists of berries, perfume/florals, oak, and rum. It pours a dark brown with a small beige head that quickly fades to a thin ring. The flavor starts with berries and cola. The finish has lemon, oak, and light rum. It’s medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation.
Pours a dark umber color with two fingers of khaki foam. Lots of stale old leaves, light balsamic, walnut, black tea, earthy malt structure. Not detecting much on the fruit side more just a bitter slightly acidic mysterious earth that lingers. Interesting beer that may be past its prime. hopdog (13102) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 4, 2013
750ml, caged and corked bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an off white head. Woody, vinous, caramel, funky, berries, and cherries. Tart finish and this one grew on me the more I drank it. alexsdad06 (10818) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JUL 8, 2013
Bottle sample (from notes). Pours brown in color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have tart berries, oak, vanilla, some sweet malts, a touch of spice, dry Brett character. Interesting. PhillyCraft (7937) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 30, 2013
Bottle compliments of Jessie, Pours black with medium off white creamy head, good lacing. Aromas and taste of vinegar, consecration funk, wet basement, cocoa dust, roast, currants, berries, chocolate, butter cream, and some more barn. Mouthfeel is smooth and insanely drinkable.
