COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The name "Grey Lady" comes from the nickname for the often-foggy island for which it is brewed. This hazy, Belgian-style Wit emits a complex, earthy nose with sophisticated notes. The sift, malty mid-palate has wicked good zesty hints but gives way to a delectably dry finish. Quenching!

Bottle, Great Wit! Pours with a hazed golden body and a small white head. Aroma of spice, honey, tropical fruits, grain, orange, mango, kumquat, coriander, chamomile, light berries, mace and herbal notes. Taste is clove honey, tea, spice, jasmine, citrus, mango and a lot of earth. Cinnamon bread and coconut flesh come across in the finish. Lively, bubbles with a dry finish.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7796) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 27, 2011
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a slightly hazy yellow-golden color with a medium sized soapy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was faint citrus and must with a light vague spicy undertone. The flavor was tangy orange and lemon with light undertones of must, pepper and cardboard. The finish was short with lemon and yeast. Medium body. Pleasant.

(Rating #1110)

Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with notes of lemon/lime/orange zest, coriander, pepper. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Ok aroma, but soda pop-like fizzy head, fizzy mouthfeel, and overall dullness makes this rather disappointing.

Bottled. Poured light straw golden with a short-lived white head. The aroma picked up tangy, somewhat metallic wheat paired with cloves and a kiss of orange zest. The flavor found similar stuff.. tart metallic and bitter orange throughout.. cloves, coriander, and floral notes accented.. finished tangy and very dry. Light-bodied and too sharp on the palate.. this didn’t much do it for me.

Bomber bottle. Slightly hazy pale yellow. Produced a nice amount of head and lacing in my Weizen glass. Aroma of lemon, orange peel. spice, and slight wheat. Excellent citrus taste, slightly sweet, slightly bitter with minimal aftertaste. Has an almost lemonade finish, crisp and dry. It’s on the lighter side of the style, light body with medium carbonation. All of the characteristics give this brew HIGH drinkability. Shared with LiteWait.

Bottle shared by argo0 on 8/24/08: Pours a hazy pale golden with a thin ring of wispy white head. Aroma of lightly sweet biscuity pale malt and a touch of coriander and lime. Body starts with decent fullness and doughy maltiness with some citrusy flavor before a drier biscuity finish. Smooth beer with an interesting lime character.
