Pours a caramel color with a rich, off-white head. Aroma is classic resinous IPA with very little malt. The malt does come through in the taste, where it starts sweeter than expected with a bit of caramel and cereal present before a decent, bitter finish. It’s fine, but nothing special. hippiemusic (58) - Florida, USA - DEC 31, 2014
Poured from bottle. Pours a lite, almost American macro brewery lager. But don’t judge a book by its cover. This IPA will knock your socks off, heavily hopped with Summett hops. But can be a refreshing beverage during the warmer months, will drink again. Dogbrick (13389) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 21, 2014
Pours a clear dark amber color with a medium frothy white head that diminishes gradually. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, piney hops and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of earthy hops, pine, grapefruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Decent overall. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, earthy, floral, some nice bready malts along with mild caramel. Flavour is fruity, floral, some mild nectar, spices and mild grassiness. Also some mild maltiness to it. Somewhat balanced, but not really my thing this one.
From a bottle. Pours hazy copper with a fizzy off white head. Tastes nutty, like orange, malty, and tangy hops. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like orange, caramel, and smooth nutty hops. TBone (17784) - Pori, FINLAND - OCT 9, 2014
Can at SBWF2014.
Hazy yellow color, small white head. Grassy, sticky even harsh nose. Medium-bodied. Flowery hoppy, a bit sweetish flavor. Taste is better than the nose. bavarian81 (157) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 1, 2014
The aroma is okay. Definitely some citrus and floral hops, possibly a whiff of bready malt? Taste is nothing special. Mostly just hops that are not very well balanced. Nothing amazing cstyrk (2) - - SEP 28, 2014 does not count
My first thought was "it’s like a razor blade to the tongue". Very sharp, but refreshing at the same time. A new twist on IPAs.
