Two year old Nantucket Flemish-style red aged on whole sour cherries for 10 months. This is similar to sipping the idea of what a "cherry" is... UNREAL.

At dark suds. Nice red color, heavy cherry nose. Big cherry up front, nothing but acetic acid in the finish. Vinegar kills this for me.

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Ed. 2008 bottle, I think. Dingy, muddled copper with a fizzly, beige head. Aroma of sour cherry, cherry skins, light vinegar, some acetic notes, lactobacillus just outside the realm of "yogurt-y", just a little touch of musty wood & hay in the finish. Taste has a larger damp oak presence up front; light vanilla, likely from the barrel, also a mild cinnamon draw, likely from the fruit. Sour & dry cherry skins with vinegar & lactic acid whetting the edges. Sourness grows over time & leads to a dry oak finish. Very nice sour kriek!

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Bruce. Pours murky purple with a frothy, off-white head. Good, earthy cherry nose, light funk, grape skin. Light to medium sweet flavor with crisp, zippy sour berries, cherry, light acidic, slight metal. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Clean finish with background jammy sweetness, nice ripe, tart cherries, a bit of tongue-blister sour bite, slight alcohol warmth. Well rounded, very nice.
