Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours reddish brown with a tiny off-white head and a subtle cherry aroma. There is a delicate sour cherry flavor similar to Schaarbeekse with a distinct oak presence, which also accounts for the brown coloring. Very mellow. nimbleprop (8949) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 16, 2012
750ml bottle pours a translucent, deep garnet amber with zero head. Nice aroma, not crazy, cherries, sangria, oranges, red wine, lightly medicinal, sour, cooked greens. Flavor is tart, sweet, plenty of cherries, obviously a bruin base, strawberry, a little caramel, dandelion greens, sour, hay, something lightly woody. Medium bodied, tart, lightly acidic. Not bad, but not worth the price. wedgie9 (2703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Tasted on 5/14/12 from a corked and caged 750mL bottle obtained in a trade. Pours cloudy auburn with a thin pink tinted beige head that leaves thin lace. The nose is full of earthy natural cherries, some bread malt, and a hint of caramel. The flavor is lightly sweet with the earthy natural cherry, and the caramel and bread malt underlying. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long very sour natural cherry finish. TheJestersBeer (2431) - SWEDEN - MAY 13, 2012

Fruity, spicy taste, wood, cherries, yeast, funk. (2012-05-05) jredmond (8839) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 7, 2012
Bottle at WtWBA Brooklyn 2012. Pours a deep murky red body with not much head, but lots of white lacing. Aroma is sharp, sour cherry and funk. Mouthfeel is tart with notes of sour cherries and oak. Very straight forward, but I really dug this cherry sour.

On Draft. Sour Cherry on the nose, Head dissipates quickly, Sour cherry on the palate with some other dried fruits. I get a little bit of pepper, more cherry on the finish. Enjoyable hivemind (933) - New York, New York, USA - APR 26, 2012
Tap @ FG with Erica. Pours dark red (amber hue) with no head into chalice. Nose is some dark, dry fruits and palate is the same with notes of dark cherry, prune/raisin. Dry, a little astringent, and kind of dusty in a cool way. Light to medium sour, medium to heavy tart. More fruit beer than sour to me. Very good. Bottle - 750mL corked and caged. Deep red pour with nearly zero head. Aroma is sour cherry, balsamic vinegar, wet wood, light sweat, tart berries and earthy notes. Taste is big sour cherry, lemon, tart berries, wet wood, sweat, vinegar and leather. Soft earthiness as well. Body is light-medium and dry with lingering acidic tartness and faint-to-no carbonation bubbles. Ends with more sour cherries, tart berries, wet wood and earth, vinegar notes and leather. Tasty!
