750 cc from Capone’s. Pours turbid ruddy ruby mahoganyish with minimal off-white pinkish head. Nose is sublime; a medley of earthy tart cherries, dank dusty estery peat, lactic acidity, and mild yeasty notes. Tastes tart as hell, almost at a Cantillon-like level of tartness, with huge cherry, earthy, woody, and lactic flavors. Rich palate, very complex, smooth, mouth-puckering throughout, and absolutelty delicious. This is a world class kriek. Nellie (349) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 11, 2010
Thanks Exiled!! Sour buddy! When you smell it, you don’t expect sour. So deliciously amazing though. Sour cherries and sour love. Probably one of the best sours I have ever had. arminjewell (9676) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - AUG 11, 2012
Pour out of 750 mL bottle, huge big thanks to Dave for the pour. Clear orange-red pour with thin to no head, aroma has notes of big funky basement, cheese, hints of dust, slight lemon and lactic sour notes, nice tart cherry skin and black cherry notes, hints of raspberry as well, touch of vanilla, amazing. Taste is super nice cherry skin and pit, some sour and black cherry, raspberry, hints of blackberry, some nice sour lemon, lactic notes with a hint of acetic burn but not bad, slight funky notes but overall very clean, hints of cracker and vanilla. Nice fine carbonation plays well, this is very well crafted. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 15, 2010
LCBS 2010. Reddish pour, light colored head. Aroma is all cherries all the time. Flavor is cherry pie, nice and tart. Light acedic qualities...maybe a hint of raspberry red wine vinegar. Mouth wateringly good. patrickfannon (1241) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 20, 2011
Bottle. 25.4 oz. Split with and courtesy of Vin. Pours a blood-drenched maroon with a thick, tightly-bubbled, well formed head, leaving chunks of lace. Aroma of fresh oak barrels, black cherries, sour Brett, farmhouse funk, doughy pie crust, buttery bread, and hints of vanilla and musty burlap. Full, heavy body with a rich, dank, thick, chewy mouthfeel. So much unreal cherry juiciness in the flavor and finish. High, tight, very slightly sour finish. Just bursting with cherry richness and tart. Excellent fruit beer/sour ale.

Bottle. Pours red/brown with a medium beige head. Aroma is cherries and red grapes. Flavor is sour cherry sour patch kids...tasty! Medium/full body, quite carbonated, slightly sticky. This beer is awesome...if you love cherries, youll love this. thornecb (5918) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 5, 2011
Pours deep ruby-tinged mahogany into a tulip. Off-white head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Oaked rum and cherry aromas. Medium bodied with sour cherry upfront turning oaky in the lasting tart cherry finish. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 17, 2013
Pours ruby amber with a sandy colored head. It smells amazing, like sweet cherry soda, so fresh even after sitting on it for a few years. The flavor is delicious as well juicy cherries with a tart, perfectly dry ending. The tartness is there for sure, not super sour, just right. The cherries held up so well! jgb9348 (6279) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - OCT 31, 2015
Celebrating Running the 2015 USMC Marathon and Beer #5200! Great amber and ruby tinted colour with a very fast-dying tan head, just like soda. Aroma of alcohol, oak, grain, sour brett, sour grapes and of course - cherries, cherries and more cherries. Medium-bodied; Assertive sour cherry flavour at first with a great mouth-watering sour quality followed by some nice malt, sustained sweetness from the fruit and a light oaky and dry finish at the end. Aftertaste shows a bunch of sour qualities, some funk from brett and the spontaneous fermentation and a lot of cherry sweetness that goes very well with just about everything. Overall, a great beer - definitely worth trying if you can find this, and definitely worth keeping for a while - I’ll try to get my hands on several of these, just to age them; A truly wonderful beer, especially for people who like the style, including myself! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia on 02-June-2014 for US$19,99 sampled at home in Washington on 29-October-2015.
