COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ed. Note: Although this beer was originally an American Golden Ale, after a short period of time the brewer changed the yeast strain, and it is now a lager. This 126 calorie lager with wonderful balance and strong hop finish is unlike most light beers. Reminiscent of an IPA but smooth and easy to drink.
It is named after the famous lighthouse that has stood on a bluff on the south eastern side of Nantucket Island since 1849. Perched precariously 88 feet above the raging Atlantic Ocean, Sankaty Head Light is in danger of falling prey to beach erosion. The lighthouse is the most powerful in New England.

Bland with lots of carbonation and look of something worth more. its light golden color and frothy head doesn’t offer too much else because no malt nor hop anything.

Can @ home. Clear golden pour with a white head. Smells of lemony hops, some straw, and pale cracker malt. Hints of melon and sweet orange. Not bad. Fairly good cracker and biscuit malt on the palate. Light bitterness and astringency on the finish. Somewhat sweet. Decent citrus peel hops, mostly lemon zest. Not bad.

Can poured into tulip thanks to Cisco rep who happened to be eating at Beachwood BBQ Seal Beach. Pours slightly hazy gold with thin white cap. Aroma is cereal grain and floral hop. Flavor is slightly more hoppy but is uninspired. Light bodied with a thin mouthfeel, crisp finish, and moderate to high carbonation. Overall, not memorable, even as a BMC replacement light beer.

Bright clear gold beer with a small white head. Palate is minerally crisp. Unpleasant soapy flavours lead to bland malt. Whsiper of citrus. Yuk!

A light aroma. This is good. A bit of grassy malt, enough to give it some flavor. A nice smooth body and finish. A quite good pale lager.

¾ pint bottle picked up at Bière Sans Frontières bottle bar at GBBF 2013. Hay and pale malts to the nose. Taste of dry noble hops, hints of almond. Fresh fruity ending, not much hops. Oily palate. Easy to drink. Accepted (hotel room, London 16.08.2013).
