12oz right out of the can at town docks in nh. Caramel and biscuit malt, english hops, maybe fuggles. Earthy, bread. Little bit of citrus on the finish.

From May 2007 Compliments of jwc215...thanks, Joe! This pours from 12oz bottle a cloudy amber with a nice head of foam that eventually shrinks to a fine layer and has some good lacing. The smell has a fruity and sweetish nose to it. I like it. The taste on first sip is big on bread followed by some hop fruitiness and some good caramel malty sweetness. Very tasty. Further sips in and my palate is really liking this brew. So smooth and yet so tasty....the hops try hard to take over but the more than ample malt presence keeps it in check and makes for some very good balance except in the finish, where it ends up being both bready and slightly bitter. Good aftertaste. Bottom line: This is a very good APA and I particulary like how neither the hops nor the malt dominates the flavour. I recommend it.

Taster pour at Powder Keg Beer and Chili Festival. Appearance is light brown with a light covering of off-white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is general graininess-- almost metallic--light pilsner-type malts. Taste is mild. Light grain, benign floral sweetness. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste, floral to lightly sweet and nondescript malty finish. Overall, this is sort of bland, with some bitterness.

Loved the copper color! Well balanced taste with some fruit and malt coming through. Very little bitterness, making it easy to drink. Overall, a refreshing and tasty beer.

Decent beer. Pretty average taste and palate. Aroma felt forced and unlike a classic pale ale. Appearance was nice

Slight bitterness, good color, not much else I could say. But I needed 75 characters. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nutty. Right off the bat, toasty and malty but flavors. Very simple profile and on the palate, after that initial taste there is not much left. Not bad, easy drinking beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Nose rich in orange, grapefruit, toast and caramel malts, very sweet. Pour clear, dark amber gradient with a foamy beige head. Taste medium-bitter, lightly sweet, earthy and light woody, faintly astringent but not bad; major component is strong toast. Malt is a little flabby but there’s enough complexity to compensate, unfortunately most of the fruity hop lure has disappeared. Medium body, nicely crisp with subtle brown and amber shades and depths, finding like 15% Altbier ancestry here and larger English influence. Enjoyed. [2017.03.28: 3.1]

One of a number of accumulated 12 oz. bottles that made it’s way to the back of my cellar frig, poured to a mug at home showing a hazed, orangey amber color, with some soft white froth, and wavy cling to the lacing. The nose was a bit of dankness & resin, followed by some fruitiness of citrus & pit variety, with hints of breadiness and caramel sweetness. Ditto on the flavor, a little less than medium bodied, with decent carbonation, and modest citrus & rind bitterness, accompanied by touches of tartness and dryness. An acceptable Pale with some IPA tendencies.

Nice cold beer in Boston. Poured medium dark amber and little carb..ination. Got better as the drink went on. Not bad.
