Bottle from Capone’s. Pours clear cherry wood color with tan head. Nose is vienna malt, some butyric acid, and brown sugar. Tastes of caramel malt, cinnamon, brown sugar, and some definite butyrides. This one is OK, not something great or even good. A rare miss from Cisco after the great draft lineup at Capone’s. BVery (10489) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JAN 27, 2013

There once was a beer from Nantucket,
which sucked so much ass I said "fuck it."
Scratching an itch, while I drain-pour this bitch,
if this wasn’t so bad I could’ve drunk it.
12oz bottle. Labeled 8%. Rep described this as a braggot, though it says nothing about that on the bottle. Clear dark red color. One-finger thick khaki head. Leaves good lace. Bigger body. Lighter, kind of crisp carbonation. More dry finish. Very spice forward, lots of nutmeg. Sweet, caramel malt, some dark fruit, and a spicy herbal bitter taste. Toasty malt. Light metallic. Big, assertive spicy and bitter flavor, but overall, not a great winter spice beer. I suspect casual beer drinkers might be more turned off by this than beer geeks, as it’s a bit aggressive... Tones down a bit after it sits and warms up a bit, though (or maybe my palate adjusts) blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - DEC 21, 2012
Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Juniper berries, ginger, hints of spruce, with lightly toasted malts and earthy notes. A bit odd. czar (9059) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 26, 2013
bottle from VT, thanks. pours clear copper orange with a nice light beige head, decent retention and lacing. good dose of caramel and toffee, relatively dry, oranges, spices - good belgium spiciness imitation btw, few garbagy notes, very boozy, pepper, yeast. soft carbonation, light to medium body, medium hopping - grassy-piney kind of harsh finish, maybe some astringent tea.
