"Extra Sgtrong lager beer"
An outstanding bottom fermented, strong premium lager brewed from barley malt. Its bitter taste and fresh hop aroma gives this high-gravity beer its strong continental lager flavour.

Bottle from the local Supermarche in Malta. It pours clear golden with a thick white head. The nose is sweet grainy euro strong nose, light alcohol, dough and cereal. The taste is sweet, grassy bitterness, doughy, cereal and grain with a lingering dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I am upraised this actually has decent bitterness to it which carries the sweet body a bit. Good for this style.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast, skunk and cheap malt. Sweet flavour of malt and yeast, complemented by heavy bitter notes of alcohol (and to some extent hops). Lingering alcohol presence. Bitter finish. I dont like this beer style and I dont like this particular beer, either. Still, I have tasted worse SPLs.

Light gold, quite dull, no head. Plastic aroma and a bit of alcohol. Taste is only a little plasticy, and it is cleaner, less grainy than regular Cisk. For the type, its positively civilized. Malt liquor for adults.

330ml light brown bottle from local "supermarket" in Malta. Tasty strong lager. Youve had one, youll know what this tastes like. Little difference. I enjoyed this. Sweet and malty. Some cereal notes (as expected), and a little bit of glue. Yummy. Bring it on! (Im so glad there is a local strong lager on Malta!)

Bottled. A golden beer with a lazing thin beige head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, caramel, and malt, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

33cl from a supermarked in Sliema. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt and alcohol. Classic malt liquor, very sweet, quite malty with a very noticable alcohol content. A bit unpleasant, but drinkable in case of emergency. Way to sweet and alcoholic for my taste, but hints of fruit comes along as I drink. Drinkable, but best avoided in my opinion. (2012-09-23)

Medium Yellow with a thick lasting white nice lacy head. Smells of sweet malt, grain, with a light fruitiness. There is a bit of staleness. Thin oily body that seems a little syrupy. Tastes of sweet malt, light caramel on the start with fruit like peach with a light bitter citrus lemon that are found in all the other Cisk beers. A touch of alcohol and pepper on the end. Dry. The aftertaste leaves a bit of grass. Im impressed by how drinkable it is. Its smooth for 9% and not at all harsh.

0,33l bottle as gift from Malta. Clear, pale orange color with small, creamy, white head. Strong liquor, mlt and alcohol odor. Heavily alcohol flavour altough its cold. But behind the alcohol theres a malt and spicy hop flavour. Its a bit caramel malty. I think its too much alcohol for this kind of a beer. Intereting that it isnt sweet like other Barley Wines, but its light bitter. Medium body, slick texture, biting carbonation. Light bitter, liquor finish with alcohol - of course. Not a bad barley wine, I like this hoppy feeling behind the heavy alcohol content. But I prefer other styles of high ABV beers.
