...The latest addition to our BLACK’s series of beers, TWILIGHT

This bourbon barrel aged stout spent some quality time with friends lactobacillus and pediococcus while in it’s wooden home. The results? Beautiful, rich bourbon barrel aged imperial stout with a hint of tartness on the finish!

It’s wonderfully different in a subtle and balanced way. The hairs stand up on my arms when I think about it!!!

Pours black with a thick tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of oaky bourbon, malt, dark fruit and vanilla. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky vanilla, roast malt, bourbon and black cherry. The finish is oaky and fruity with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

This was nice. The sourness is there but not crazy pronounced. Otherwise helps to hide the strength a bit.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks zvikar. Black with a tan head. Sourish and a little juicy aroma, sweetish, bitter-coffee taste that then becomes astringent, full body, fruity and roasty finish.

Bottle, so glad to have this. My last beer on tday. Slight gusher, nice tawney head, good lace, black beer. Aroma is smoke, cookies, toasted barley, dark fruit and raisins, metal, oak. Taste is cherries, molasses, coffee, toasted barley, cola, dark chocolate. Finish is sour roasty dry. Palate is thick and creamy, almost nitro, but not syrupy, carb moderate. This is superb, truly epic beer. My last bottle is going nft.

A fantastic sour. Pours a deep black with a tan head. Smells of bourbon, tart and vanilla. Taste is very smooth, well balanced with vanilla, caramel and a smooth, slightly tart finish. Had in the bottle.
