Bottle. The pour is a solid copper color with thin light head. The aroma has some sweetness to it with soft notes of the barrel. The taste is a little thin and bland, but has a tad of funk to it.

Capped 750 from Star Grocery in Berkeley, CA. Pours dark brown/black. Aroma of whiskey over sweet malt. Rye is detectable. Flavor is very boozy. Mostly rye. Lots of oak. Notes of bourbon vanilla. Finishes sweat whisky flavors. marcus (10681) - Sacramento, California, USA - DEC 30, 2013
Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours dark brown with a modest tan head and a treacle and bourbon aroma. There is a chocolate and vanilla flavor with lots of whiskey. Complex. ABUSEDGOAT (2852) - California, USA - SEP 14, 2013
Nearly black pour, tan head, some lace/retention. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate, caramel, lightly fruity, light cola. Medium to full body, moderate sweetness, chocolate and cola flavors dominate with the barrel aging rounding it out. Tasted like a BA BW to me. Bottle. Pours with a cola, near black hued body with a medium retentive tan head. Aromas show big cola, fudge, and whiskey barrel, some minerals, chewy, vanillin, light leather, medium ester, jammy/fruit preserves. Dark fruit. Flavors are leathery, minerals, cola and bourbon. Reasonably dry finish with tons of tannins and bitterness. Oaky notes and a bit harsh. Medium carbonation, fuller body, lots of tannins.

S: A light smell of spices, oak and chocolate, followed by just a hint of moasses and bourbon. P: Almost completly black with a big thick fuzzy head that dispences into many brown bubbles. T: Chocolate upfront, but moves quickly into oak, pale malts and dark fruits. Finishes a bit warm. M: Thin with soft carbonation and some stickiness towards the end. O: Its good but a bit weird. Woodshed 2.0. Great name for a beer. I surfed down at the Sloughs a couple of times. Bottle share courtesy of Sparky. It pours with a very dark looking body that supports a weak tan head of foam. The aroma offers up malt sweetened dark roasted malts nuanced by molasses mixed with smooth whiskey. The taste is smooth and rich starting with dark roasted malts and nearly burnt malts and then heading into smooth sweet whiskey notes. Smooth sipper of a beer. daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - APR 28, 2013

Almost black in color with no real head. Booze, roasted malt, oak, and cocoa. Some dark fruits, cherry, and whiskey, and hints of vanilla. The flavor is somewhat chocolatey with roasted malt, coffee, and dark fruits. Char, cocoa powder, whiskey, booze, and hints of vanilla. BOLTZ7555 (3127) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - APR 21, 2013
Bottle generously shared by Sparky @ Woodshed 2.0! First rate! Deep mahogany pour with a tightly packed latte head. Aroma of cocoa, dark roasted coffee, oak, spicy rye, vanilla, and molasses. Would go
with Chuck Norris wrestling a Honey Badger over Charles Bronson wrestling a Grizzly but what do I know? Haven’t been disappointed by this brewery yet...well crafted and nicely done!
