10 Oct 2016, bottle (bespoke label - Christ Church Oxford Univ). Light amber, clear, occasional bubbles. Nose is apple, acidic, mildly sweet. med body and mostly flat. slightly acidic, hints of apple and old lemon. ok. jjsint (3428) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 8, 2015
Bottle from JSG Wine Merchants, Hills Road, Cambridge. Dark gold, over-carbonated. Little white head sitting proudly on the top. Sweet smell of caramel/taffy, somewhat sickly if truth be told. Taste isn’t much better: sweet and malty with a misplaced spiciness. The flavour in the finish is short, but the heavy carbonation lingers on the tongue. I just don’t care for it all that much. I should say that I’m not (usually) a fan of First Gold hops, so this was never going to appeal to me. ManVsBeer (10927) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2015
