1997 Champion Beer, Cambridge Beer Festival. Finalist 1998 GBBF Olympia. Bronze Award 1999 Beauty of Hops English Ale Awards. Named after T. jerohen (2309) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - MAY 28, 2007
Hazy yellow/orange coloured, chunks of yeast, lots of carbonation, big lasting head. Yeasty aroma, some citrus. Malty and yeasty flavour, watery. Some bitterness in finish. Besides its bitterness nothing much is going on. Thanks to my girlfriend for bringing it from Cambridge.

Cask at Fountain, Cambridge. Golden bitter, cloudy apperance, dirty white head. Sour flavour and a distinctly "off" aroma. Didn’t finish it.

More often found in bottles than on tap in Cambridge these days... Is it still at the Fountain on Regent Street? I’ve found it to be unreliable - varying from average to thin of flavour. I’d go with the description below by ’Harrisoni’.

harrisoni (18823) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 22, 2007
500ml bottle from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. Copper colour with thin off white head. Yeasty, green apple bitter. Some hop, citrus hoppiness grows to the finish. Prickly carbonation. Fairly plain bitter.

maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - NOV 12, 2006
Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. A golden coloured beer with a decent white head and lacing. The aroma is biscuity or crystal malt. The taste is quite bitter and a little malty also. Borderline green but OK.

yngwie (17078) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 6, 2006
Bottled. Slightly unclear golden beer with sediments and a small white head. Sour aroma, probably wild yeast, with fruity and floral notes behind. Some bitter orange too. The flavor is fruity, acidic and citric, with a stinging bitterness in the end. Too thin and watery. It is still 6 months to BBE-date, maybe the brewery have a problem with the sanitation, cause this beer probably shouldn’t be sour. Other than that, it is a well-tasting and refreshing beer. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 23, 2006
A Mes rate: Cask in a bar in Cambridge. When in Rome... Slight orange in the aroma. Average appearance but with lots of lace. Initially malty with a lengthy citric hop finish. Standard fayre but ok.

Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - MAY 26, 2006
From bottle. Sweet malty aroma. Hazy yellow in appearance with no head. Malty flavour with a bitterness, overall a weak palette with a dry bitterness.

JonMoore (2067) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 5, 2006
Bottle conditioned. Darkish golden colour with a large white head. Aroma is hops and oranges. The taste is hoppy and citrusy with a hoppy dry finish. Light bodied. Good session beer I suspect.

Svesse (8616) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - APR 26, 2006
(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London 22 Apr 2006) Golden amber colour. Nose is fruity and hoppy with hints of orange and mandarin. Taste is fruity (citrus), starts sweet but ends in a drier rather hoppy finish. Refreshing and easy to drink, but somewhat on the thin side.
